taxonomic so how is the asylum? Are they feeding you well there? And no you can't come home yet. Why? Because you're clearly insane. Seriously tho you haven't seen gameplay video if you honestly call it a portable N64. That's absolutely absurd, even embarrassing so that you say that. Sounds desperate even. The 3DS has more horsepower than the first PSP of course, but it also outclasses the Wii graphically. Even the current DS is stronger than the N64. Now why would you say such an outright egregiously incorrect statement?? And yes the 3DS does offer a wealth of features compared to previous Nintendo handhelds. 3D gaming featuring the 3D slider are two of those features. The 3D camera is an addition to that, and the promise of 3D movie viewing on the 3DS, presumably through Netflix or like service. The Game Boy Virtual Console is new to the DS line, and so is a wide screen display. A background OS that you can use while a game is running, and the DSware shop has been entirely remodeled for the better. Street Pass may not be interesting to you but yet another new feature I plan to use. And a single identifying code is an absolute benefit the 3DS has over the current DS line, or the N64... And you being a PSP fan I'm sure you realize how important and advantageous the circle pad is over the PSP's little analogue nub. So how about you quit the blind hating of an opposing portable system and just acknowledge at least what is true?
$250 may sound like a lot, but this is the first Nintendo handheld that has this many new features and high end tech for it's time. Up till the DS the handhelds were just old gaming standards made into smaller sizes, while DS of course added new ideas and features. Now the 3DS is adding a ton of new features alongside tech you can't currently get in any other consumer portable device. Got mine pre-ordered.
Already got my copy of Tiger with Motion + reserved. I'm not taking any chances in missing it on day one, because if Wii Fit, Wii Play, or the Wii itself is any indication then Motion+ won't stay on shelves for long. Besides the golf in Tiger, I really wanna try out the disc golf that's exclusive to the Wii version. I've heard rumblings already of sports game of the year for the Wii version of Tiger now too...
Wewt wewt!!! Almost a year after its release and the Wii is still making Nintendo a fortune and a half. So Anti Wii people, when is this Wii fad thing suppose to end? 5 years maybe? :D My only problem with Nintendo right now is since they are doing so well, they need to shift a huge portion of their financial weight to marketing. Lack of advertising has always been their weak suit. Games like Halo do so well due to the HUGE marketing campaigns behind them; if Nintendo had put the same weight behind Metroid Prime 3 I'm very confident that it could have equaled sales since at its heart it is a more intelligent and better designed game than Halo (albeit no multiplayer.) Nintendo needs to let people know the games they make and why they should play them.
This man is no idiot. The DS was winning before by a large margin but now its a one system fight. While the Wii may be controversial, the DS isn't. I love Diamond, and i can't wait to pick up the next innovation still.
