"There's also the fact that many gamers have upgraded their systems over the past year. The Crytek team wants to dispel the myth that Crysis or Warhead requires a high-end, expensive system to play. So they ran the Warhead demonstration on a $652 PC built with parts purchased online. Performance was astonishingly smooth and fluid even with a high level of graphical detail."

PC Gaming is not expensive!

[QUOTE="John_Keyes"]

Face it, PC gaming isn't as popular as it was, consoles are taking over, they're the mainstream gaming platform now,

AdrianWerner

Fact is PCgaming is more popular and profitable than ever and it's also a fact PC never was the mainstream ,most popuilar platform.

The reason for switch is simple: PCgaming, while growing steadily, isn't growing as fast as console gaming. At the same time though the costs of developemtn and marketing also are rising many times faster on consoles than on PC. Look at the companies who are switching? Notice something in common? They're the absolutely biggest PC devs around, huge monsters. They are the only ones that can survive on console market and even they are having huge troubles.

Most PC devs are already too small to even attempt console development.

$20mln+ budget games (with additional $10mlns for marketing) with 150peoples teams are quickly becoming standart in console gaming, while typical PC team is ten times smaller and uses ten times less money to make games and twenty times less money to advertise

True say I agree

[QUOTE="rgame1"]they will deny it but the truth is PC gaming is slowly dying. Hardware is too expensive, has a geek nature feel to it and has no way near the variety of consoles.jaisimar_chelse

fps, rts, mmo, simulation, god games, racing....no variety what so ever

Only A blind fanboy would say that the PCs don't have variety of games.

Vista sucks? How so?

Bubblehash

I have given it three 1 week trials on my PC. Each time I find either lack of driver support, random crashes, combined with that RAM caching which I hate (I disabled it and it still wouldn't die).

You blame vista for the lack of driver support?

I have 0 problems with my Vista.

Same here I have no problems with Vista also
