Since all of our sin is ultimately against God (Psalm 51:4), and since God is an infinite and eternal Being, the punishment for sin, death, must also be infinite and eternal. Hell is this infinite and eternal death which we have earned because of our sin.

The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as "eternal fire" (Matthew 25:41), "unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:12), "shame and everlasting contempt" (Daniel 12:2), a place where "the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:44-49), a place of "torment" and "fire" (Luke 16:23-24), "everlasting destruction" (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place where "the smoke of torment rises forever and ever" (Revelation 14:10-11), and a "lake of burning sulfur" where the wicked are "tormented day and night forever and ever" (Revelation 20:10).

Praise God that, through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate (John 3:16,18,36).

1. It's more important to praise God than to live peacefully with others. Jesus even said that it was better to be rejected by your own family and enter into paradise than to be accepted by them and enter into hades.

2. God is eternal. Anything that dishonors him (eternal being) must be paid in such a way: eternally. Therefore, since Jesus (who was God) took our sins upon himself, his sacrifice was an eternal sacrifice, freeing us from hell and our sins for eternity if we accept his gift of salvation.

3. The Dead Sea Scrolls (believed to be from year 1000 or so) have been found to be 95.5% similar to modern day Bibles. The only differences are punctuation and the word order as each language follows. Jesus said, "'I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. I've been in the market for a nice gaming headset for a while now, and I've finally decided to purchase the Creative FATAL1TY Gaming Headset... Although, I see on Newegg.com that there's 2 of them. Is there any difference, except for one uses the standard mic jack (No. 1) and the other uses USB (No. 2)? Is USB better than the standard for headsets? Or vice versa? Thanks for your help!
