cod4 was called modern warfare but there was nothing modern about the gameplay ai still behaved as stupidly as in past cod game which fits more into the ww2 era of fighting. also theres nothing original or new about the story in cod4 there are like 20 games that came out the same year with practically the same story.

id prefer them to do something new something original, modern ww2 and futuristic shooters have all been done to death in my eyes. what about the most important war the American revolution or the civil war, those would be very interesting.

but between modern future and ww2 i prefer ww2 at least its historically accurate and the story isn't off the walls crazy, thats just my opinion.

Ya when i first started playing cod4 i felt like i was playing and older cod. once you unlock the mp44 there is nothing stopping you from thinking its still WWII. The environments look anything but modern. I guess because its not in the U.S or Canada but there is no reason why something set in the time period should look like something set in the 40's.

The race modes are fun. Also, the city is incredibly detailed and I like to explore it. I like free running across rooftops, exploring alleyways, and finding easter eggs. It's fun if you like digging around for secrets. Make the game fun and quit complaining about it. You paid $60, you should find ways to enjoy it.dxy592

Arn't i entitled to my own opinion? People use forums for opinion, rants, and any other things they want to discuss or get off their chest. I paid $60 for it... i also paid $60 for Spiderman 3 and it got bad ratings. Arn't you gunna tell the people that rated it to stop complaning?

There is no doubt that they took out ALOT of fun things that they had in previous games. No jetpack, no parachute... they dont even have all the cool vehicles that SA had. I dunno. For me it was a little bit of a let down.

I'm not a huge fan of either but i usually prefer halo 3. I just like hot it plays much more than cod4, which has the same basic run and gun style only you die quicker. I play rbsv2 more than anything though. Gotta love a great tactical shooter.FLzthvikings87

Sorry, this isn't an answer but its R6V2. Not RBSV2. Rainbow isn't 2 words. Sorry, I'm picky about that:)

I think COD4 is more competitive than Halo. Alot of people would argue that but i find halo to be funner since it has features like forge and what not. If you get bored of playing online or get tired of halo's hardcore trashtalkers, then it still has things to do. Forge, custom games. Its is very easy to navigate and manage things online. If i want alot of competition i'll play cod4. If i want to play with friends and have a good time, i'll play halo. So to sum up my answer i think Halo 3 is funner.

OK. Heres my opinion. I loved the campaign. It had a great story and you didnt ever want to put down the controller. The only thing for me is that after that theres not much to do. I dont care for the online in that game much, its kinda cool to play freerome with your friends but you can only do so much in that. Also, after you beat the campaign you basically do nothing. I know thats how its kind of been with all the gta's, but i think that since the city is much smaller compaired to say, San Andreas, its not as fun to just explore and freerome. Its San Andreas it was big enough that it takes time even with a jet to get from one end to another. I was somewhat dissapointed with this installment in the gta series. Loved the campaign, thats about it. Thoughts?

I think im the first to say this but when i do, lots of people will probably agree. Spiderman. The only thing they've changed throughout the 3 games is that you can touch the ground.... and not do much on the ground (by ground i mean the streets etc.) Every game is just swing around for hours, find a mission, jump down and button mash your brains out.

Does anyone like it that CoD5 is goin back to a WW2 setting?? Im not, im pissed.. I mean all of the other CoD games were like stepping stones to CoD4, but now they're going back?? I would think that they would recognize how amazing CoD4 did, and create another one, with a similar setting.. I was thinking maybe like a World War 3 or somethin.

I heard that cod5 is going to stay as a modern shooter. I dont know if its for sure but also if you search cod5 even here on gamespot.com, in the game description says Modern Combat, or something of that nature. I feel quite alone on this one but i kinda wish that cod5 will go back to a WWII shooter. I like cod4 dont get me wrong, in fact its my most played game at the moment, but i find that the action is way more intense in cod2 or cod3. Cod4 involves alot of camping in a corner with claymores rather than going into combat guns a blaze. HOWEVER, though the WWII games (in my opinion) were more action packed, they lacked some diversity. I love the perks and custom kits in cod4. If they could somehow incorporate that into a WWII shooter then that would be awesome. If its going to be the exact same as the other ones then i agree with most others, that they should just keep it modern. Though they were fun, modern could be funner if they optimize on making the battles more intense and happen more often. I cant remember the last time i got into a really sweet and intense gun fight. I usually walk in a room and hear that infamous clicking noise, my fun is over before i know it.
