yeah i guess the story isn't necessarily the greatest ever, it's just the CHANGE in empathisis over the other FF that makes me like it so much, ie. empire and wars over the usual "boy with a dark past" set up....
...i also LOVE the characters and how they are designed. I think FFXII has the best cast of main characters since FFVIII. And of course no FF can compete in terms of graphics.
dude FFXII blatantly rips off loads of stuff from Star Wars; Arcadian Soldiers = Stormtroopers , Judges = Sith Lords, Empire = Empire, Fran = Chewbacca, Balthier = Han Solo, Mist = force ....it just goes on and on. If Star Wars never existed, FFXII would be COMPLETELY different. ...not that i mind though, FFXII is so totally my favourite FF ever :D
it's far more mature, intelligent and story driven than the usual boring romance crap, and don't even get me started on how totally awesome gambits are 8)
