Has anyone actually realized how the ps3 is the most valuable console of the 3? The PS3 is set out to stay on the market for quite a long time, so you are paying for a lasting peice of hardware. Sony wants it to have a great lifespan like the PS2. The thing that everyone is talking about though is the Blu-Ray and Hd-DVD war. Is it just me, or do people realize this isn't really a war? If Blu-Ray does not win this "war" something is wrong. The Playstation comes with a Blu-Ray player already inside of it, and all of the games are on Blu-Ray, while Microsoft has an added peripheral that costs half of an xbox 360 to get i believe. They are not having HD-DVD games. They are not pushing their format enough! Sony is obviously going to win this. On top of this, all of the other blu-ray players are going to be a lot more than 600$, you are getting a major deal for a blu-ray player and a gaming system, and lots more. I don't know how people can be comlaining. The PS3 also has inernet browsing capabilities, which is somethign i miss dearly from my sega Dreamcast (R.I.P.), and finally it is back. This is also something that may get more people to check it out. Sony wasn't lying when they were saying it was nto ust a gaming console. There is much, much more. People just dont seem to realize that they are really paying for technology that is definately surpassing its compeitiors. You are paying for a console that looks to last longer than the other two, you also get great graphics, audio, online capabilieties, and more. There is just so much to do with the PS3, but noone seems to be able to get past the price point. I, for one, believes it is a great investment, not just for gaming, but for even movies too. I hope I am not the only one who feels this way on the ps3 price topic.
