The genre is pretty much dead :( I wanted a sequal to Starlancer so bad too. it still hurts thinking about it.

Star Trek is notorious for having bad games. The best I played was probably Elite Force, that, followed my Klingon Academy. Both are pretty much impossible to find now...
Just mute them or find a better server to play in.
Either delete the games you don't play, or hold on downloading it until you have more space, or go into the Steam folder and transfer all the game files out into the second harddrive, uninstall steam, install it in the new drive then transfer the game files back into Steam.
Early FPSs like DOOM used arrow keys. It wasn't until Counter Strike did I switch to WASD.
On an unrelated note, one of the first 3d FPSs I played was Jedi Knight and back then when I was younger and didn't know anything, I went into hte options and checked every box in the mouse control including INVERSE MOUSE, ever since then, I can only play with the mouse inverted.
Try the usualy... Restart computer, Update drivers...
I've been using Steam since the Beta and have never had a problem with it ever.
It's not dead but for the first time ever -- and I've been a staunch PC supporter since the beginning -- PC gaming is critically ill. It makes me sad but this is the reality. People always mention casual game and how they are on the rise but that really isn't my thing, I grew up with Lucasarts adventure games, shooters and some of the early RPGs and these days, adventure games are pretty much dead, shooters are watered down for consoles and the same goes for RPGs.
The graphics have held up pretty good for a game as old as it is. You should definitley get it. For me, it was one of the highpoints in all my years of gaming.
People still play. It can be fun if you don't mind the sound of a dozen grenades going off every second.
