Wow, I figured I'd get some weaksauce answers like that. First of all, if I was trying to play it in OSX, IT WOULD NOT BE PLAYING LIKE A SLIDESHOW! to be able to play any game like that you have to use windows. Nor am I trying to play it with high end graphics, I simply want to play the game, whether it's on low or not. Don't give me advice like "macs suck for playing games" or "that graphics card sucks," I'm using windows and I can't change my graphics card no matter how much I want to. My computer is well within the recomended specs and I can play other games released in the past year with everything turned up to the max. Now, can I get some relevent advice please?
When I installed the game, both Crysis and Warhead, everything plays like a slideshow. I even tried to turn down all the settings to low and I was getting the same thing. I have an iMac from late 2007, Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz 3gigs of Ram and an ATI 2600 XT. The computer is within the specs for the game, does anyone have any suggestions for what I could do to get the game to run at a decent framerate?
I hope Bioware bring out an awesome MMO with GREAT STORYTELLING, so all the idiots who bring the game down and dont give them a chance will shut up.
For once. FOR ONCE there's a company who's interested MORE in storytelling in an MMO than PvP, or Quests or etc....
I vote for Bioware...they have never let me down before

Wait a second, you're not understanding, it's not that we're shooting the game and it's true as everyone is saying that Bioware has never really made a bad game, it's the fact that it's an MMO and most of us don't want to play an MMO. Sure we want better interaction with NPCs but normally the characters that give quests in MMOs are NPCs anyway, so what's that matter? I don't care if they're going to make it much more story driven than any other MMO, I just don't want to have to deal with all the hassles of playing an MMO, I want a single player game, and so do alot of others out there.
Oh good, I'm not the only one who's disappointed that it's an mmo. I love rpgs, I love the stories, the gameplay, and I love Bioware games, every single one that I've been able to play, I've loved every second. MMOs though, I haven't played because I don't really want to have to deal with other people in the game world, and it seems that in most of these games that they're designed so that you have to play with groups of people so that you can get to a certain level so that you can progress to the more interesting quests that you can't do without being at a high level and you can't get to the high level without playing in a group. Yeah, that was all circular reasoning but that's the way it seems to be.
I didn't care if I have to play as a new character again, I just wanted another Kotor game and obviously, that's not going to happen. "We decided not to bow to the COMMUNITY pressure and make a Kotor 3, because we can put all the stuff that we would have put in that game and more sequels into this one! Screw you if you like to play single player."
[QUOTE="smack_masta"][QUOTE="msjr78"]I think that the truely hard core buy all of them. And spend at least $6000 on a gaming PC.dizzykim
Sure they can -- check out Voodoo PCs. Their desktop costs about $5500 without extra add-ons.
And you can buy all the components that go into one of those for about 2000 and even if you can't build it yourself, you can find someone to build a gaming rig with those components for less than half what it would cost for a Voodoo PC.
If you're going to buy a gaming Rig, DON'T BUY NAME BRANDS!!! they charge for the name and a cool case, that's it.
really comparing the 360 and pc is unfair, because the 360 only runs the game while the pc has other things it needs to do. also the xbox is optimized for gaming while most pc's are not even close. i think the xbox has a 2600hd which on a pc could not come close to producing the graphics it does with the 360.DWolford32
The 360 through it's lifetime will support graphics in between medium and high, it's all a matter of how good the developer is and how well the game is optimized. The Xbox came out before the x1xxx generation of ATI cards was out and it's GPU is a version of the x1800xt, which is roughly equivalent to a x2600xt, with the exception that it doesn't support DX10. in certain regards the 2600xt is much more powerful than what's in the 360, but again it comes down to optimization. I have a 2600xt in my computer and I can run Bioshock at full(DX9), with a hiccup hear and there.
