Clif notes: My repaired xbox has a brand new manufacture date on it, but is not a "65nm" cpu. Do they slap new stickers on refurbished 360's? if so, is my warranty extended?

So i just got my xbox 360 back from the repair center, and i noticed that on the back sticker it has a new model number and the manufacture date is "2008, 06 26." I thought that they sent me a new console, so i went and checked out how to see if i had the new 65nm cpu or not. According to whatever website i found the information on, if i look through the side of my xbox and dont see a copper pipe running up the side of my cpu headsink then i have a 65nm cpu chip. Mine does have the copper tube. What does this mean??? I would have thought that they stopped making the old 90nm cpu chips by "2008, 06 26." Did they just slap on a new manufacture sticker on the back of my old xbox? If so, does this mean i have three more years from now under warranty??? that would be great.

Strange side note: the 360 lasted about 2 years before rrod... i just realized thats longer than my gamecube or ps2  weird

I dont buy systems for 1 game. If you do then you will end up disappointed.

I bought my PS3 to play alot of games, both exclusives and multiplats.

I find it funny that people say they would have bought a PS3 for FF 13, but yet they say they wont buy a PS3 just to play MGS 4.

While you squabble I will be having loads of fun with these games......Force Unleashed, Resistance 2, Infamous, Fallout 3, RE 5, FF 13, Quantum of Solace, Killzone, and many more.

A happy gamer with just one system will buy multiplats and exclusives that interest them.

I hope you ment "people" in general, because i did not say any of those things. And yea, i have seen some videos on those games you said. Most are multiplat, but resistance 2 and infamous look cool. When they come out, they might raise my interest level in ps3 a little.

Until the PS3 has a quality selection of games i won't be buying. They have like 1 game that i'd like to try after i researched it. After so many titles are switching to the 360 also i don't think that will happen soon. Don't forget about 360 exclusives like Fable and Gears that will keep your mind off of having to even buy a PS3 anyways.xsfseal

im not worried about the 360 not having games for me to play xsfseal. Im just wondering what other reasons / games i havent seen exist for the ps3 that would woo me into buying it.

Its good your enjoying your system zyasun! Also, what i ment by my first post is games that are available NOW. I wont go get a ps3 for future games. When those games come out and if they rock, i have no problems going out and getting a ps3. Can you list the games that you are waiting for, i will go and to the research on them.

So this generation i own a xbox 360, psp, and a capable pc. Most of my friends have 360's as well, though a few also have ps3's and i have a good amount of playtime on it. Right now, i have maybe 10% interest in buying a ps3 RIGHT NOW though, and here is why.

Blu-ray: It is a great thing for the consumers that sony put a blu-ray player in the ps3 (im not so sure it was good for sony though.) Having a Blu-ray player cheaper than actual blu-ray players, awesome. However, the last time i bought a dvd was in 2001. I usually watch all the great movies i want to see in theaters and then im good. So in my case, blu-ray does not really motivate me to buy a ps3. This is in my case only remember, because the blu-ray player alone is a system seller to MANY people.

Games: This is what really matters to me. The ps3's games do not all suck. However, most good ps3 games are multiplat, so its really only exclusives that i take into consideration seeing if i should get a ps3. When i go through the ps3 exclusive that are available that i would like, i see Metal Gear Solid and warhawk... This is where the 10% interest is. I am not a Metal Gear Solid fan, but since it got GREAT scores i would pick it up if i had a ps3, but it is not a system seller at least to me. Warhawk also looks like a game i would like to play, but looks very like its... i dunno, small? Hard to describe. GT used to be on the list of "why i should get a ps3," since i am a big sim racing fan especially online, but i honestly think it is over shadowed by Forza at this point in time (at least until they release a proper GT game for the ps3, are there any release dates yet?) I did not like Prologue, aka expensive demo... sorry to those who liked it :D

What it will take: More good exclusive games!!! MAG gameplay video/pictures. Price cut? MAG release date. To people that are in the same position as me, what else would you add to the list? MAG...
