The Parable of the drunken man

Damn, been a long time since I've done this. Alright, this something I came up after a breif discussion. It is a parable, guess what it alludes too.

If only I hadn't done it that night.

Got more drunk than my dad ever did.

The prison smells like cat piss, and rotted carcass.

Savergy(spelling) engulfs the room, alongside a musk so deadly I dare not breath in through my mouth or risk dying.

I don't belong here, I begged, I don't!

If only the beer hadn't been there, if only it hadn't been there.

"What do you mean if it hadn't have been there?"

I wouldn't have gotten drunk and killed two men.

"What if you had, without getting drunk?"

I wouldn't have! Its not fair blast it all!

"So who should be in jail now?"

Well... No one...

"But surely someone is responsible, if not you, who?"

Perhaps no one is responsible. Yes that is it!

"If so why are you in jail?"

Because I killed some people...

"Then it is your fault?"

No it was the beer that made me do it!

"Then it is the beer bottles fault?"

No!

"Should the beer bottle be thrown into jail instead, it is it's fault isn't it?"

No! That wouldn't mean anything.

"Then the makers of the beer bottle? Should they be thrown in jail?"

They didn't do anything.

"Except sell you the beer, so it's their fault, blame them, blame them!"

But they didn't make me drink so much, I did that myself...

"WHO CARES! Its obviously their fault, they were the ones who sold you the bottle, you used the bottle and got drunk. IT'S THEIR FAULT!"

But I'm the one who bought it in the first place, one bottle would have been enough for me, but I had to continue, until they were all gone, knowing what might eventually come...

"So whose fault is it?"

Mine...

My Little story called "war cannot equal love"

Recently ive gotten myself into writing whether im any good at it. Ill let you guys judge any way heres the first chapter.

War does not equal love

"My presence here will not make a difference"

Commander Fit's Enimine stood there walking slowly back and forth inspecting us on this cold September morning. His pudgy nose and beady eyes looked at us disapprovingly, yet we had no choice but to take it.

How could he be blamed? It was after all a war, and it was a war we were losing. None of us truly wished to be apart of it yet here we are being inspected by the commander of the National army corps. The seabreeze wind circle around me as I stood motionless on the North brighton peer.

Why were we here? You might ask, because we were the most eligible for selection. Whether it was our meager physical skills or our average mental abilities. In truth the army must have been quite desperate to use us, and indeed they were. We had been fighting for years and had not one consecutive victory, but somehow we humans managed to keep biting back.

In the middle of it all was me, and I disliked the situation greatly. The only reason I had joined was for my baby sister, whom had just been born. I could not take care of her and in exchange for my service; she was allowed to be admitted into a medicine centre. That was an opportunity I could not pass up.

I wanted to be with my sister so much, yet I had no choice. I would not see my sister for along time if not at all. This is what hurt me most. She had just been born, and our parents had just died on the eve of their 27th anniversary. I had little to no choice I suppose.

The commander had finished his first inspection of us. He whispered into the ear of his Asian secretary, and looked at us with disappointment.

'Ok, women, here and men there.' He said, pointing at the two different buses.

The men headed to their bus and boarded it. Some looked eager, some looked scared and some didn't want to be here. Like me.

I however entered the other bus. Out of the 20 or so people there, I was the only female among them. It was a lonely and nostalgic feeling I felt then as I entered the bus. I looked at the seats and other than the bus driver I was the only one there. The driver tried to look compassionately at me. But could not bring himself to do it, I didn't blame him. Why should I? I had no right to. At least not any more.

The bus driver started the ignition and began to drive into the orange sunset, and as I stared into that sunset. I could not help but cry and feel so completely alone.

When i entered the bus it was empty not a single person bar me and the driver was to be found on this bus. I felt alone then truely alone and lost in thoughts of sadness that did not pass.

Ominous Enmity

I decided to finally post something as i havent used this blog for a while. Any way ive been writing this story on a site called Fiction press, If you are interested in this part of the chapter read the entire of it and tell me what you think of it.

http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2463917/1/

This is the first part so tell me what you think of it and if your curious click the link and check it out and theres a tonne of other good stories on the site too.

Whenever Seth Chatnell traveled through the widespread forestlands of the east he normally rode on horseback or some other animal for transportation. Unfortunately for him he lost his horse in a bet back in the town of Saidsir a few miles from his current position. He met with a group of friendly merchants; well at least they seemed friendly at first. It started with but a mere game of cards; they bid three coins of gold each, in the beginning. Seth wasn't much of a card player, though he liked to think himself one. It's easy to say he lost the first game flatly. Seth wasn't much for losing either, so he bid his expensive watch. He lost it. Seth then bid his tent supplies; he lost them quickly as well.

Seth went through all of the stuff he had that was not necessarily essential for his travels. One thing after the other he lost, quite pathetically really. Some of the objects he lost were sophistically fine and fancy. Like small one handed silver mirror, a finely crafted moose head trophy and a golden blade of which he enjoyed play wielding with. Finally he came to his last unnecessary possession, his horse locky. Seth regrettably bid her for the offer of receiving all things back and the entire of the merchant's caravan stock. Seth was not the type who would pass up an opportunity such as this. At first it seemed like he was winning, the cards in his hand all showed queens. Seth eagerly placed them face up on the table 'Queens' he said smirking, his arms and legs folded.

The merchant's smirk however, gave Seth the impression that he hadn't given up. The merchant placed the cards on the table one by one. 'Royal flush' Seth gaped at sight of them but knowingly gave up his horse in defeat. Seth's only possessions now a thick cape, knife, the clothes on his back and a small green bag he used to carry his food with. Seth had also bid all of his money. Seth tried his best to walk out with some dignity intact. The merchants got to him as they laughed at him. Seth walked out depressingly ashamed with what little he had left.

Now Seth was in the middle of the eastern forestlands. It was now nighttime. The fire Seth had set up crackled randomly as he threw more bits of pulled tree twigs and branches on it, to keep it from dying. Seth lay comfortably on his side, staring passively into the fire as it danced for him. The fire's warm glow radiated over him, keeping Seth warm. It was the middle of winter and the forests in this area were usually cold in the night. When Seth watched he could see the mighty frost claiming his soft warm breath as he exhaled air.

The dark forest that surrounded him bode him an ill will, though he ignored it coolly. Since the merchant incident back in Saidsir he had been walking in the forest for three days. Normally he would of reached his destination by now, the third town of the east. But without horseback it could take up to fifteen days by walk.

Seth continued to lay, listening, abruptly he sneezed. The forest sounds of the forest animals halted but then continued shortly after.

Seth could never hear enough of the natural sounds the forest made for him during the night. The crickets continued their chirps while the owls; bugs and Squirels scurried throughout the night. Most people thought Seth as strange for being that way, having such a unique trait. Though in reality he could not see why anyone would be afraid in the first place. I mean it was only noise after all.

On this night in particular the near full moon almost completely shined. Though it struggled to reach Seth, mainly because the overhead branches and leaves blocked most of moon shine from entering. Seth continued his easy going stare into the fire, but inevitably knew he would have to sleep. Making his way to the third town wasn't much of a problem normally but his food supplies of dried meats were starting to wane.

He decided to sigh it off and thought to worry about it when the time comes. Seth's eyelids felt drowsy as he lay, eventually they shut and he began to dream.

Peace.
