I preordered Assasult Horizon some weeks ago.Now before I purchased that game I played the demo.I should have trusted my instincts.That game in my opinion was trash.I should have known it was garbage when they gave the F-4 Phantom II as DLC.Anyone who grew up watching the show Wings or its various spin-offs or watch it on the Military Channel(if they still show it)knows that Aircraft was a Vietnam era fighter that can't really dogfight against this generations fighters.Also the F-14 Tomcat was its replacement.Also Acecombat Veterans know that jet is barely adequate(worthless in my eyes,never did enter that code)Anyway here's what I dislike about that game.1.Dog Fighting Mode,Let's be honest.What is it called when you engage a bogey or a bandit?Isn't it called a Dogfight?I hate that mode.I tried playing Assault Horizion like the old Acecombat however the game pretty much Forces you to play the way it wants you to play.When in DFM you have no control over your aircraft.You only control the Throttle and Brake and that's it.I won't go in to full details but I'll say this.That mode is so bad someone be it AI or human can cause your aircraft to crash. You see in DFM its the opponent who dictates how your aircraft will behave.In three instances the AI caused my aircraft to crash in to the ground 3 times.That brings up point 2.My jet crashed and burned at one point.on the other two times it bounced off the ground and was merely "critically damaged" It didn't crash and burn.This game became frustrating.Speaking of critical damage.Its funny how the aircraft can heal after sustaining a sever amount of damage.This game is more Call of Duty than Acecombat.Even when you're blown out the sky.You don't see your aircraft plummet to the ground.You're treated to something like a First person shooter.Last gunner missions.In my opinion they were trying to bring over Call of Duty and Battlefield player with that mode.Well to that I say Acecombat is for the Skies.Aces skills are based of piloting not sitting down and shooting everything.Oh yeah one other thing when you shoot something the camera zooms in to show the "glory" of your kill.When I'm ready to face my next target I don't want to waste time.I don't need a false sense of achivement for shooting down a lesser foe.Assault Horizon is not an Acecombat game in my opinon.It did some things right like pushing Air support and actual ground combat together.It was nice using the Apache.But in the end I got rid of that game and got Bleach Soul Reccion.I actually enjoyed that game way more than Assault Horizon
