After playing Halo 2 extensively, I thought up some wishes for the next installment.
1) Fall damage. I don't like how humongous leaps can be made without any loss of health. Plus, bring damaged on large falls adds another layer of strategy.
2) Health indicator. More strategy. More fun and intense, in my opinion.
3) Give the shotgun the same power as in Halo: CE. In Halo 2 you have to be point blank. At least give the shotgun some power from 2 feet away.
4) No plasma sword. It's a novelty that I don't care for.
5) No duel-wielding. For some reason, I don't really like it. Maybe because some combinations are overpowering and plagued by spamming and auto-aim.
6) Bring back floaty physics. I want to be able to ramp the Warthog off the Scorpion again.
7) Lag the sniper rifle. In Halo: CE sniping took a bit more skill. It wasn't just aim at the head and fire -- you had to aim ahead of the target to hit. In Halo 2 what sniper is practically aimed for you be...
8 ) Auto-aim. Take it away! Nothing unbalances the SMG + SMG combo more than auto-aim.
9) More small deathmatchy maps. I miss playing on levels like Damnation and Prisoner.
10) More "open" maps. Like Hang 'em High.
11) Flying, spinning weapons. I don't like how fallen weapons in Halo 2 sort of "blink" and move a centimeter when you shoot them. I want the spinning of Halo: CE back. Also, the ability to blast weapons far away was very nice. In Halo: CE they could fly across the map. Not so in Halo 2; they will go a few meters and stop.
12) Faster squatting motion. Teabag ahoy!
