Think of the Single Player!!!!

When i was 10 me and my neighbors started a huge journey. We started to try and beat Banjo Tooie. After 2 months we finally beat the game. It took us 65 hours to beat. Now days that seems like it can't happen.

Lets face it games today are shorter than they were a few years ago. Now developers are making 10 hour single player campaigns and adding huge online options. I'm not saying that i don't like online gaming, but i can't help but think that single player is getting left behind. It seems like nearly every game now revolves around the multiplayer. The single player gets nothing. Take Gears of War for example. That game has a really disapointing single player. I was expecting at least a 20 hour game. But even Insane difficulty it isn't even remotely close to that.

The reason I want to have longer single player campaigns is because i grew up playing 70 hour long games. But video games are changing. They're definitely different than the N64 days. But whats next? What happens when we want something more than multiplayer. I think half the reason why single player is getting forgotten is because it is hard to think of cool things to do. Almost every cool idea has already been done.

Now you may think that i'm just whining. Well i kinda am. But i really think that developers need to think about the single player too.
