Uncharted 2 redeem itself

Ok so i finally decided to whatnot give uncharted 2 another go. So i borrowed my friends hard copy of uncharted 2. Firstly in the beginning i received the same experience like once before, It started slow but i wasnt going to give up now so i kept on playing. The more i played the more interesting it got. Like i couldnt put the controller down because i just really wanted to know what was going to happen next. 8 hours later i looked at the clock and it was 6am. i've really lost track of the time, thats how much i got into the game. I could not believe what i passed on a few months back. My quick judgement on the game has punished me by missing one of the most fun game and interesting storytelling in a movie blockbuster setting

Valkyria chronicle saves the ps3

I was thinking of selling my ps3 to my cousin. But i managed to get my hands on Valkyria chronicles for a bargain. This is an awesome game to have. A very fun game. Now im having second thoughts if i should sell my ps3 or keep it. At the moment i shall keep the ps3.

November shopping spree

Ok so next month, ill have no money left in my wallet ;(

games ive pre-ordered or planning on buying for november

Borderlands on the PC and PS3(yes call me crazy i have it on 360 also, but i have different friends with different system that have this game)
Dragon age on PC

My exact thoughts on uncharted 2.. im in no hurry

Today my friend and i went to get his pre-ordered uncharted 2 as i went to buy a couple of ps3 platinum games. We went back to his place and played through a fine 5 hours of uncharted 2. The beginning snow level looked beautiful, but the jungle bit looks a tiny improvement from the first one, the city however does looks very eye candy. the animation is smooth, but we've already spotted a few glitches but what game does not have glitches right? Uncharted 2 graphics is spectacular dont get me wrong. but im just not into artistic graphics games (excluding JRPG's supposingly because they are ment to look anime-ish). Im more into realism graphics, and thats just my personal taste. After playing and seeing the game, im in no hurry on getting this game. Most likely because i dont really like linear 3rd person shooters. it feels like gears of war because of the whole run cover shoot run cover shoot, which i thought it was a very boring game and i hated it (sorry to geow fans). I do however like the platforming in uncharted 2 which i thought adds lots of fun factor.

my honest view on forza 3 demo

Well firstly i want to say i love forza franchise. They are a successful sim racing game for a reason. One being mechanically implementating real life racing into a virtual life racing as close as it can be, and second the fun factor in the online gameplay/community
Finally the long wait for a demo of forza 3 was released few days ago. I thought it was a great game for a demo. Although it did not reach my expectation. Now it would be wrong to judge the Full game just off a demo. As forza 2 demo disappointed me too but the full version reached my expectation. So ill have to wait until ive played the full game to judge the full game.
But overall my judgement of the demo was great. Ill make it simple pointing out the pros and cons

Pros:
AI seems to have improved
Graphics has improved
The car felt alot more heavier, giving the less feeling of driving on ice.
It has cockpit view

Cons:
Cockpit view did not look as good as i thought, in comparison to nfs shift and grid
Damage model and mechanics looks similar to forza 2 sometimes worse. like if you get hit from the front but all the sudden your rear looks damaged.

In conclusion. I am even more excited to buy the full game, knowing the main contents im interested in was not in the demo (online gameplay, forza economy, car trades + tune trades, )

My arma 2 experience

at first i gave this game a 7/10 because sim shooter wasnt my type of game and i found it really difficult to play. But never gave up. After 50 hours of gameplay through the singleplayer campaign. I was mind blown by how much fun i actually got out of this game. Yes this game can take lots and lots of play time to get used to, and to learn most of the controls. Its has a very depth learning curve, but once youve figured those out. the experience is like wow im in a real war! leading my whole army and construct my own base. Im towards the end of the campaign "Dogs of war" i love commanding and customizing my army and squad. It gives that RTS feel to it. Nothing is better than sending 100 troops in helicopters and charging through a town Throughout all the learning process to successfully capturing towns. I give this game a 9/10
