i might just take the hdd out and bring it to the store and try and trade it in for a slim 250gb

Thats odd but it could just be by that point the disc has spun enough to sufficiently heat up and apparently over heat your system. Have you tried installing the game to the drive and then playing?
The-Longshot
Yea it was already installed and as soon as i signed in to xbl to play online the red lights come on and the xbox shuts off :?
Okay I will settle this numerically.
1) Two red lights flashing on your xbox 360 means its overheating.
2) The failure rate on the new slim's are like little as 5-10%.

Ok thanks. But when i reset the 360 and load up a game like BFBC2 and the sign in to xbox live it does it straight away, almost as if me signing into xbl is triggering the problem?
My 60gb elite broke down. It got 2 red lights which im told might be a HDD failure? And am considering getting a 250gb slim but would like to know if theres less RROD's/failure rate with them compared to older models? thanks
I've heard good things. I guess the only negatives are that the triggers are a bit spongey, and that it doesn't support SIXAXIS.

cool. do u know if it would work on a PAL ps3 if i imported it?
i only buy first party controllers, they're usually better, if it helps
pela_yo
yea i know, but i just like this controller because it has the same button layout as the 360's controller and i have been waiting for a controller like this forever
