because im thinking of getting a xbox but i dont know whether to get the cheap 8mbarcade one or the elite

thinking of saving money and getting the arcade version because i dont really see the point inn buying the elite just for hdmi

i just care about the games, not the downloadable content or pictures

Yes, Yes and Yes. Here is why.

1. 120 gig hard drive. 100 extra gigs of space for all the downloads you want. I am already down to 90 on mine and I've only had it since august. (I don't like to delete things that take 2 hours to download) ($179 as an add on)

2. It comes with a 6' HMDI cable ($50 for a semi good one)

3. It comes with a Connector to hook up the Optical out with the HMDI ($50 or rip the plastic off the component cable one)

4. BLACK

Even if you don't have a 1080p tv yet it is worth the initial investment. I didn't have a 1080p tv or home theater sytem until Xmas day.

what i mean is..you hate console "x"..really HATE it badly BUT is there a game that can/will or already has changed your mind into buying that console?

im a SOny fan.and i dont really like MS BUT...For me i think its TOO HUMAN..that game will make me buy a 360 if i think what it is

IMO one game is not worth 400+ dollars.

There would have to be 3 or 4 must haves to get me to buy another system. (I would, however, buy a PS3 if blueray won the format war just for the player, the games would be an added bonus)

All things that PC can do very easily for free. Ventrillo for chat, messenger for messaging even if they are offline and even though they try to make it seem like its barely anything by saying 5$ a month, it all adds up.

Of course all that costs money, but all that applies to the console as well(mabye not antivirus but most dont cost money each year unless you get some ripoff like norton etc.), but you also got to pay for an additional fee on top of that for xbl. I just say free because we are talking about that directly and since those other things apply to consoles as well, we dont need to mention that.

Like I said nothing is free. You are paying for it one way or another. If you are not paying in cash you are paying in another way.

Take this sight for example. If I pay I get more? right? If not I don't.

If I pay for XBL I can chat all the time with my friends while playing the console of "my" choice.

If I wanted to play some PC game and use a secondary "software" to talk to my friends I would.

If I am not mistaken... I could pay ventrilo for an upgraded version?

I like paying for the convenience I get with XBL. I like seeing who is online and what they are playing. I like see who I just played with just incase I want to become friends with them. I like being able to block someone if I don't like them.

I pay >100 dollars a month to verizon to have dropped called and faulty messages.

I will buy a PS3 if BlueRay wins the format war. There is no way in hell that I would buy a BR player for the same price as a PS3.
