@blackx114: Yes! Finally someone who gets it too. I just bought all 3 games on Steam, and I'm 8 hours into the 2nd, and indeed it is a major let down. Hard to image it is made by the same studio.
If people think the 2nd one is a "masterpiece", I really fear what the 3rd one gonna turn out to be...

Seems like XP-Very High Quality have sharper looking textures in distance (peculiarly that mountain in the 4th picture, on the first page) while Vista-VHQ have stronger HDR effect and more accurate shadows. jordanbijl: DX10 isn't all about graphics, in fact it shines more in places that still images can not show.

Yeah ;0 Also, if you have on old CRT monitor, you could set it's refresh rate to 40Hz and then back to 80Hz to see the difference (it wont be that obvious on new screens like LCD)

Lol, why does "clouds disabled" disables smoke and adds additional trees :S docd87: Human eye can see a difference up to 300-FPS, so yeah, 40 and 80 doesn't look "the same"
