Congratulations Wii U owners, your first must have game is a re-release of a decade old game with bloom added in. Looks good, especially at that low asking price. Nintendo with another winner.

lol, this thread.
Some common facets of traditional masculinity span all cultures and find their origin in genetics. "Real men", in a sense, probably are a dying breed.
Oh well.
Don't like it? Don't buy an Xbox One, and thus don't be forced into agreeing with the TOU. Problem solved.
We've got New Super Luigi U coming.
A platform starring Luigi? Sounds fresh and new to me.
Why would Nintendo need to show off new IPs anyway when the ones that they have, such as Legend of Zelda for example, are leagues ahead of the competition?
- The Last of Us
- Rayman Legends
- The Legend of Zelda: ALttP 2
- Tales of Xillia
- Wind Waker HD
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist
- Batman: Arkham Origins
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
- Wasteland 2
In no particular order.
I agree TC and this is something that has been discussed to death already, particularly in the Uncharted related threads. The only way to overcome this major flaw is by completely overhauling how games are done and take an approach more in line with what David Cage does with his games but I bet that many people wouldn't be happy about it.
Having good gameplay while telling a fully coherent story is something that I doubt we'll ever be able to achieve. After all, games are made around the fact that you have fun with the interactivity they provide and not with what you see or ear. This is a flaw that comes by default in game development, a very deep flaw.

Games can execute really simple stories.
Infinite is an example that proves that the medium is still finding its footing for storytelling. A fantastic example of how games can tell us a tale and make us feel something is Shadow of the Colossus. I find I am much more impacted by games that take the "less is more" approach to narrative and let the gameplay do the bulk of the leg work. SotC was also genius because there were no immersion breaking elements to muck up the proceedings. Wander didn't cleave through wave after wave of soldiers or anything in between cutscenes. It was a very immersive and pure experience.
The Rumor: Games for the Next Xbox Will Cost $70. Video games are already pricey, and the average consumer has to be wise with his or her purchases, so a 10-dollar increase could very well be the breaking point for many. Is now the time to stop our ranting on GameSpot and Facebook and finally let our wallets do the talking? Or does the new $70 become the old $60 as we line up like sheep for Call of Duty 25, Madden 82, and Assassin's Creed 14?wasted_wisdom
Games have gotten cheaper relative to inflation over time, and in basic dollar amounts as well. A $10 jump wouldn't even cause prices to normalize with what they were back in the 90's. These young'uns lol
