Honestly, I do not think online and cloud gaming is in your DNA. I have serious doubts you can fix the problems plaguing GTAV online.
The character creation produces the same awful looking avatar no matter what you do to the grandparents. ANY of the people waling around in the offline mode on any street corner are a vast improvement on it.
And because I dont care about the avatar I am allowed to create, I have no emotional investment in online. The online game, like the avatar, is 'disposable'.
That said, you really need to focus on DLC, deliver as much content as you can for single player. That is your comfort zone.
"We are trying to bridge some of the world between online and offline," he said. "That's a little bit of a holy grail in terms of how you understand the consumer in that 360 degrees of their life."
@jasonwhite334 me too, I got into online just as heists 2 and 3 kicked off together. The submarine heist went well, but the other one, where you need to secure the getaway car and garbage truck, will not start. I heard that maybe you need to do some side missions, so I did every single thing. The rampages were funny, and so was collecting crap for Nigel. But no heist start. My map is literally blank now apart from houses.
If something doesn't happen soon, time to trade this in.
I managed to get past the dreaded first race ground hog day, after the patch release.
I found 2 problems.
1. the yellow dot for the store you have to rob kept vanishing as I got to it, only to come back as I drove away. Needs a fix
2. A social problem, it is impossible to engage with the story mode and what it wants you to do, when you have 2 or 3 dicks on the map who just shoot everyone.
People who want to death match 24/7 are hijacking all the work that went into this.
Well, gta v was good, but nowhere near the bullsh*t size some reviewers hinted at. On next gen they need to deliver size. My money is on Vice City, with Cuba added for some nutty post revolution antics and in addition lots of Carribean Islands for drug runs. Then add in land surrounding Miami/Vice City; swamps, canals, gators, bull sharks. If not that I would guess Chicago, you got the lakes, Canada near by, the Windy City is the home of organised crime.
Lag is horrendous during title sequence, it streams objects off the net and you are not getting texture pop ins, more like entire street pop ins.
Character creation has the most lame system I have ever seen in my life. You have to mess about with tiny pictures on screen of 4 grandparents, which generates your parents, then you. All the avatars look like each other, with mexican/black features dominating. Nothing wrong with those races, just more choice would be nice.
In game the streets sort of have life in them, but its about 20% of the people and cars in the single player game.
translation, Vista was a total failure, MS Phones were a total failure, Xbox One was a total failure until we back tracked violently, latest Office is a total failure.
We are getting out of this mess by buying stuff, we have got a nokia phone company..thing.. next on the shopping list...valve..
