Chapter 5

“Wake up Jack it’s time for school!”

Jack lay on his back and looked up at the ceiling of his bedroom. He sighed. The words he destested more than any other.

“JACK ARE YOU AWAKE?” his mum yelled up to him.

“YES IM AWAKE!” He grumbled and turned on the stereo. He began to sing along to his music and ignored the shouting from downstairs. It only made him want to hear it louder.

“Jack turn the music down we do have neighbours you know! Jack! JACK! JACKKKKK!”  He laughed out loud and switched it off. “Jack you are going to miss the bus!” His mother passed him his school bag and looked at the clock.

“You better run for it.” She said and kissed him on the forehead.

“Ew gross. Im outta here.” He walked out of the room. “Don’t slam the…door.” BANG!

She sat down on the light blue sofa and turned the TV on.

“The murders of three local teens has left the community of Walter Taylor Hollow terrified. The head of police has given the following statement.

‘I am both shocked and saddened by the murders of Katie Parcs, Jake Thompson and Samantha Green. We need to pull together at a time like this and make sure that we do not see attacks of this kind again. Some teachers of Walter Taylor High have decided that it wouldn’t be wise for parents to stop there children from going out. But to make sure that they are with someone at all times’
