The reason why they're breaking = You bought Ray-Bans. For ~$200. I hope to anything that they aren't those comical Wayfarers.Lockedge

I just googled ray ban wayfarer and the Google pictures don't look bad! Not bad at all. What's the problem here, you don't like them? I thought you were going to talk about the big bug-eyed sunglasses that cover the entire upper part of a person's face.

Are you guys saying that you're not familiar with this problem? Do you tend to play/keep your PSP switched on constantly?

I'm wondering, would I get any helpful responses if I asked this on Sony's own PlayStation forum? I've never signed up on a forum other than gamespot and I don't think I want to... hmm quite the dilemma.

wait why are people so outraged by $189 on sunglasses :P its really not that big a deal. .

JML897

Because it's completely stupid to pair that much for a pair of sunglasses. And at that point you're not paying for the sunglasses, you're paying for the name.

For me it's more the fact that he paid $200 for sunglasses and he only wears them in the car. In that case there's no reason not to just buy a cheap pair instead.

Um, where else would I wear them, in the house? This isn't the Matrix you know.

you're talking about the little rubber sleeves on the ends? they can usually be replaces pretty cheaply.comp_atkins

Yeah that. I guess I'm just too lazy to find some replacement or to fix them. I'm not even into wearing sunglasses (even on a sunny day) so I tend to forget to go some place to fix them until after I put them back in the case.

At this point I don't know if I should just replace the rubber sleeves or buy a new pair altogether. They were marketed as ray ban "polarized" type glasses that better reflect or resist sunlight or whatever which would prove helpful when driving, except they don't do that.

I'm not really looking for a new design or styIe of sunglasses as I am looking for efficiency; at this point I don't care what they look like, only if they're uselful.

Oh trust me you guys this isn't a common practice. I was… well I guess you could say I was kind of pressured into buying them, and as mentioned this was over 2 years ago, so I was a different person then and much more needing to be accepted by my peers, since having friends was such a new experience for me. It just sucks you know? Urgh.

So I bought a pair of Ray-Ban P sunglasses from some shop in Miami right? And the temple arms of the glasses (that balance on your two ears and support it) are completely breaking apart.

Seriously every day more and more pieces are strewn around my car, and I'm really exasperated. It's been 2 years since I bought them… is this normal to happen? I take good care of them, and I pretty much only wear them in the car.

Anyone have any experience with sunglasses being seemingly cheap and not well-made? I mean I didn't buy them from a thrift store or something, I paid a frickin sum of 189 American dollars plus American tax (so it went well over $200). It was one of those fancy mall-established ones.

So… any explainable reason for this? And yup, it's way past its warranty by now. That's how they get you...

"The Rookie" Try that one.Treflis

Thanks, I think it's definitely the Rookie, with Charlie Sheen and everything. At first I was envisioning the bad guy as a Tim Curry of sorts but it turns out to be Raul Julia.

It happens. What it is, is that the battery basically runs out and that stuff resets. Happens to me only when I don't play my PSP for about a month or so.

And yes the PSP loses charge even when it's not in use.

Flame_Blade88

Oh yeah, I definitely know about the battery simply running out like that (it has happened even before I ever had a 3000), but the thing is…

Why doesn't that happen with the DS, for example? My DS doesn't reset itself after I don't play it, and I have one that I haven't switched on in a year! It's just confusing, not knowing how the PSP works.

And it kinda makes the date/time format irrelevant. A few years ago I was worried that this would screw up my game saves and data. Is this forgetfullness of the PSP harmless or should I be worried like before?

Every time I take a long hiatus, maybe a few months or so from playing, my PSP resets itself for some reason and wants me to set the date and time, every time.

Why the heck does it do that? Sheesh. I have PSP 3000, recently bought. Also, I make sure to turn off the PSP by holding the switch for as long as it takes for the PSP to turn off. That's how you do it right? To turn off the PSP?
