Unassigned: Italy - Episode 6: Germany

"So how did Abby take it?"

"You're kidding me, right?"

"Bad huh?"

"I think she actually wants to kill me...She just doesn't understand that this is what I have to do."

"I'm sorry dude, this has to be a horrible situation for you, I mean, it's hundreds of people, or your relationship."

"It's an easy choice though."

"Really?"

"A relationship can be revived...lives can't."

Brad and Jon both sit inside of a helicopter, on the way to Germany, hoping to get to Hitler's tomb before Nick's mob.

"So, how do you plan on finding this tomb?"

"I'll ask around and see what some say."

"Good plan." Brad says sarcastically.

The helicopter lands in a small field, away from civilization. Brad and Jon, both in their "spy suits" and a jacket to cover it all, jump out of the copter, and head toward the city of Berlin.

"What a nice little town this is."

"Huh, not if you were here 60 years ago."

"60?"

"Give or take."

Brad and Jon walk into one of the pawn shops.

"Excuse me, miss?"

An older lady at the counter looks up.

"Do you speak English?"

"Guten Tag!"

"Is that a no?"

"No, but I love German language."

The lady wore nice clothing, she obviously made it herself; she also had an easily identified German accent.

"I'm Mary, now what can I do for you two nice young men?"

"Hi, Mary...Well, you see were new here, and wanted to do some sight-seeing."

"Have you visited the site of where the Berlin Wall was?"

"Not yet, Miss. Anyway..."

"Oh, you should, it's a wonderful place..."

"I'm sure it is..."

"It brings back memories of when I was a kid."

"Oh yes, anyway..."

"My brother was in World War II..."

"That's very nice, miss, anyway, I was wondering where Hitler was buried."

"Adolf Hitler?"

"There's more than one Hitler Brad says quietly.

"Yes Mam."

"Well, I heard he was burned, not buried..."

"Did he have any kind of grave stone at all?"

"I don't know...I try hard not to think of that man."

"Okay, well, Thanks for your time."

"Anytime, enjoy your visit here."

"Thank you."

Jon and Brad leave the store.

"What a nice lady." Brad says.

"Yeah, it got us no where!"

"She said he was burned"

"Then how is Nick looking for a gravestone?"

"Do people put ashes inside a grave?"

"I don't know."

"Have you ever been to a funeral, Jon?"

"Yeah...my grandmother's."

"Oh, I'm so sorry."

"I know I remember when I was little and....THIS IS GETTING US NOWHERE!"

"Come on, let's ask someone else then."

Jon and Brad head toward another shop down the street, while unknowingly, are being followed. They are about to enter the store when...

"So, you want to know about Hitler eh?"

"Um, yeah...who are you?"

"Follow me."

Jon and Brad look at each other, and decide to follow him.

He was an old man, looked like he could've been over 100 years old...he had old ragged clothing, he was dirty, he smelled had a cane, and he was leading them to an old house, which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years.

"Please take a seat."

Brad and Jon sit down at the table; there are 4 chairs around it.

"Would you like some hot tea?"

"No thank you."

The old man pours a cup for himself, and takes a seat across from Jon and Brad.

"Um, I don't mean to be rude, but why are we here?" Jon asks.

"I hear you want to know about Hitler."

"How do you know...?"

"You see, I was a German soldier."

He takes a sip of his tea.

"And was one of the few to know about his secrets."

"You mean is underground weapons development?"

"I see you know some things too."

"Others do too...bad others."

"Well, do you know where it is located?"

"Sadly..."

The old man coughs, and takes another sip

"Sadly, I do not. Hitler never told me the location."

"I heard it was under where he was buried."

"Hitler was not buried, he was burned."

"Back to square one." Brad interrupts.

"He had to have been buried, that's exactly what Nick's plans said..."

"Maybe Nick doesn't have his coordinates correct either." Brad says.

"Do you know the location of where he was burned, or at least where the ceremony took place?"

"Magdeburg, Germany."

----Meanwhile----

Located somewhere over Germany, two helicopters fly toward the city of Magdeburg. Each helicopter carries five men. In one helicopter, there is one pilot, and four men prepared for battle. In the other copter, there is Nick, a man in all black, a pilot, and 2 archeologists, Sam Harrison and Henry Taylor.

Nick gets out of his seat and walks over to Sam and Henry.

"Are you sure this is the correct location?"

"I'll bet my life on it." Sam says.

"You pretty much did by helping me." Nick says.

The copters soon reach the town of Magdeburg, and fly over a church, behind it is a graveyard.

"Is that where Hitler is buried?" Nick asks.

"Sort of...that's our location."

"Sort of? Whatever, land over behind the trees."

----Meanwhile----

Jon and Brad sit inside the church talking to the preacher there.

"Is this the graveyard where Adolf Hitler was buried?" Jon asks.

"Yes it was, but Hitler is no longer here."

"Oh come on!!!" Brad says.

"Mind telling us what happened to him?"

"Well, you see, after Hitler committed suicide, he was buried in a secret location, the Russians soon discovered him, and had him buried here. After a while, he was dug up again, and then burned...his ashes were scattered over the land."

Jon and Brad here the pair of helicopters, they run outside, and look up.

"Nick..."

The helicopters land behind the trees; Jon and Brad head to the back of the church, and look out one of the windows, as does the preacher

Nick, Sam, and Henry are soon seen walking out of the tree area, and toward the graveyard. Followed by five men, with guns...big guns...and grenades...they were heavy loaded, okay?

Nick, Sam, and Henry walk to one of the tombstones. It says on it, "Here lays Hitler Great leader of the German army."

Sam kneels down, and looks at the grave. He feels around it, almost as if he's looking for a switch.

"Yeah, this is it."

"How do you know?" Nick asks.

Sam continues to feel around, and pushes a button, suddenly, the grass rises. Dirt falls from the door that opens from the ground. The door is about casket length, and as it rises from the ground, stairs are seen below.

Brad turns around to face the preacher, who is stunned.

"What? Don't tell me you never knew or even had a thought that maybe, just maybe, there was a secret underground weapons facility right under the graveyard where Adolf Hitler was once buried."

Jon lets out a chuckle, and then heads outside.
