i just shipped in my ps3 and they sent it back with no problem. however, while speaking to sony about the process they were uninformed and confused about how the warrenty process works. I would call sony back and tell them that the sticker was on when it shipped from you and just because you guys made a mistake doesn't mean that you'll pay for their mistake. keep complainig and sooner or later you'll reach someone who has the authority to make a descision.
i recently spoke to midway about a problem i had with ut3 vctf.it was freezing during loading sometimes. midway told me that if you join there servers to play vctf that you may experience some sort of a freeze up.....maybe. the guy indicated this was because they are constantly testing their servers and the testing will become less intrusive over time. anyway, for what its worth, thats what the support guy at midway mentioned.
its my opinion that the other guy is not as concerned with the consumer. sony, i believe, is more in tune with what the public wants and is giving it to them. the ps3 is superior.
mine just freezes up sometimes....i'm currently taking care of that issue. however, i've never heard of antone experiencing what you are. ps3 is a great system....i like mine very much. Now go wash your mouth out with soap you dirty bird.
