EDIT: LINK NO LONGER ACTIVE

Why is it that we always have to wait on these things? Half of the time, I have reason to believe, that it has nothing to do with 'finalizing' anything. Just making us wait until there is two weeks left before the initial release. MOH:Airborne was the same way, they even pushed the real release date *BACK* to make it an even two weeks from the demo release.

AHHH! What a pain!

While I'm ranting about patches I figured I'd say something about the new patch for Company of Heroes. It seems that a ton of people couldn't get it to work. After a day's worth of fooling with the thing I finally got it to work myself. It adds a few maps and changes the interface to be more internet friendly, it even goes so far as to change some of the sounds.

It also seems to add the full version of Opposing Fronts. There is a catch though...you still need the CD Key to play it. How cool it will be to buy the game, put in the CD Key and get to playing without having to wait on the installation.;)

Well its been a little longer than announced on the Airborne patch, but its supposed to be out sometime this week. BlackHat says its at 'Quality Control' right now as I type this. We'll have to see I guess. In all honesty, I really do hope they fix it to where you can change your screen-name. I hate having to use my EA login name. Nobody knows who I am!

Airborne is surpisingly good. The campaign is short, don't get me wrong but other than it really is a lot of fun to play. The sound quality is excellent, it has a really good effect to it. Almost lifelike if you have strong enough speakers.

Multiplayer is a different story, I sat down to play it a bit the other day, and while it wasn't bad...it wasn't entirely good either. We'll have to see what goes on with the new 'patch' that is coming out sometime next week. Hopefully they'll have some way to change usernames by then...;)
