I think there would be a real market for reviving these nostalgic games in a way that really leverages today's technology. Even side-scrollers could get HD visuals, 60 fps, and epic design. I was really DDIV would go that route. Thoroughly disappointed.

Love me some slapstick comedy. I'd get on board with this.

Is it too much to ask for high framerate and textures? I know it's not an HD remake or anything, but I think that would be pretty cool.

@129260: I'm sure VC will be available for the Switch. I can't imagine they'd can that.

@groowagon: Is name-calling really necessary? Believe me, I'm not short on cash (despite what tommyd79 implies). My mortgage payments are well-covered. I just hate to see something valuable sit there and depreciate.

I just haven't used the PS4 for some time and figured with the new versions of consoles coming out, I'd rather have the more powerful one when the time comes to buy it. It's really pretty simple. I could even set that money aside and use it to buy a used PS4 Pro or whatever the next version is a year or so from now. I don't mind waiting to play these games.

@Bread_or_Decide: It was just collecting dust, so why not leverage that into something that won't collect dust? Besides, I don't have time for the games I have on PC anyway, let alone those on console.

Looks like I sold my PS4 a little early. Oh well, I'll pick this up some time down the road when PS4s are super cheap.

I'm okay with M/KB on consoles, but I think it would be good if the player who chooses to use a controller could select that he/she only wants to play against controller players. Each game would have to support it, but at least it would be fair.
