Back in August I got Dead Rising but never got to finish the game. Everytime I got to a certain point in overtime mode, I'd get a disc read error. Turns out my 360 was making light, semi-circular scratches (no, not the deep circles when you move the system horizontal to vertical or vise versa) on my game.
After some time, I decided to call the Xbox people to try to get it replaced...without a warranty. They said I could pay $139 to get a new one, but I politely said that I shouldn't have to pay an additional $140 to a $400 system that I didn't mess up ('cause I didn't) and asked to speak with the manager person. An hour and a half later, they granted me a free replacement!
So I got a new 360, a new copy of DR and a 90 day warranty all for $18.80 (cost of sending my old 360 through post office with high priority and insurence)!
Finally I get to play Gears of War...after I study for finals:cry:.
