AQWBlaZer91 Channel Update: 05/06/2012 MCM London Comic Con May 2012 Live on Gamespot

During the last days of May MCM London Comic Con announced a few new games that are coming to Europe as well as a Dead or Alive 5 Tournament. I only watched the games that were interesting to me. This Blog talks about about 3 games that are coming soon and they look awesome.

Persona 4 Arena (Arcade, PS3, XBox 360) First Impressions

Persona 4 arena

Recently announced in Japanese magazine Famitsu where Atlus showcased a Persona game which is a fighting game which is released in Japanese arcades. Persona 4 was a J-RPG released in 2008 and 2009 for it's European release on PlayStation 2. It followed you as a High School student who had to solve a series of murders which all took place inside a Television world called the Midnight channel which leads to the Shadow Realm. They showed off 2 different trailers which showcased the storyline and another trailer showcased some characters from Persona 3. The storyline in Persona 4 Arena takes place 2 months after the storyline of the original where Persona 4's protagonist and his team find out that the Midnight Channel comes back on air and it announces a Tournament called the P-1 Grand Prix where the Persona users enter the contest in the Battle to the death. Sadly the trailers did not reveail any Gameplay but from I can assume Persona 4 is a Fighting game. No release date for Europe has been confirmed but has release dates for August 2nd in Japan and 7th in America. Lets hope we don't have to wait to long to enter the Persona Arena.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (PS3) First Impressions

Ni no Kuni

Japanese developer Level 5 is known for highly acclaimed games such as Dark Cloud, Professor Layton and Dragon Quests 8 and 9. This time they team up with the artists at Ghibli Studios to develop Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch which is the most ambitious project as the game showvcases the biggest strengths of both studios. Set in a fitional American town of Hotriot the game tells the story of a young boy named Oliver who his life takes a turn when his mother dies and his tears bring life to a strange doll that was giving to him and the pair end up in a world full of fantasy in order for Oliver to be reunited with his mother. The Live-show showcased 2 playable demos which were shown for 10 minutes each. It showed the battle system which has enemies on the world map which you start as you see fit. There are conditions depending on how the battle starts such as being attacked from behind which puts you into a advantage or running into an enemy will give you the upper-hand. Battles take place with you given commands in real time and the main characters aren't really built for fighting but they have the ability to use creatures which can help them out in battle. They also showcased what the cut-scenes look like and they tried their best against the boss but ran out of time. This is possibly the best looking Anime game that Ive ever seen in comparison to other J-RPGs in HD like Tales of Vesperia. They have announced that the game will out in English for the PlayStation 3 in Janurary 2013 but however there is no hope for the DS version getting a release outside Japan.

Tales of Graces F (PS3) First Impressions

Tales of Graces F

Originally released on the Wii back to December 2009 as a Japan exclusive gamers in Europe can finally get their hands on the long awaited installment of the Tales series on PS3. The term for F stands for Future which showcases an added storyline that tells what happens 6 months after the events from the game. The storyline follows 11 Year old Asbel Lhant who is destined to become the next lord of his town finds a girl who is suffering with amnesia and also he befriends a royal prince from another country named Richard. Asbel becomes responsible for his failure to protect his close friends and then he spends 7 years of his life in the Knights Academy so that he gains the power to protect his closest friends. Dispute they didn't show too much for the Battle System but I saw improvements to the Skit sequences and some enhancements to the combat engine. They did show off the beginning cut-scenes which are at least better from the Wii installment Dawn of the New World. The game is finally announced for it's European release on 31st August 2012 which means the wait is finally over for this amazing Tale to be told. There is also a special limited edition which along with the game the special edition includes a Special Folded Box that the game comes in, a Making of Videos disc and another disc which has the games soundtrack on it and finally an Art-book. Namco Bandai knows how to deliver proper RPG justice unlike Square Enix who can screw up so many RPG's today.

As for getting my hands on these games I can't get Ni no Kuni and Tales of Graces F because I don't have a PlayStation 3. I would get a PS3 but however there's a limit to what I can put on my television and also I got other games I gotta finish up on. I'm only going to get my hands on the Persona 4 Arena for my XBox 360 and perhaps maybe I'll get a fighting arcade stick to bring out the true arcade fighting experince. I don't know when I'll get the game when it's but maybe when I beat the orginal Persona 4 on my PS2.
