Dead or Alive Dimensions

The Dead or Alive series is known for it's female characters that have Big Jugs and also the Paradise spinoff series which is one of gaming's guiltiest pleasures ever to be made. Dimensions the next fighting game for the series but this time it hits the hand held for the first time. For a hand held fighting game it plays quite well as far the controls translate.

This demo lasts for about 30 uses before it expires.

The game has a storyline called Chronicle but the demo reveals the scene where runaway ninja Kasumi flees from her village for revenge against Raidou and is pursued by her friend Ayane. You play one fight against her before being rescued by a women named Christie.

Alongside the storyline the demo has an Arcade Mode and it only has 4 Playable characters to play through. There are about 5 fights and they only have 1 round before you advance to the next fight. The difficulty is on the Easy setting cause the opponents AI doesn't attack much.

Just like the older Dead or Alive fighting games there is X for punching, A for kicking and B button for throwing your opponent. Y is used for blocking your opponents attacks but you'll need to time it carefully to successfully guard against attacks.

The combat relies on strategy with precise timings of attacks and combos. Alongside pulling off different combos you can also use special moves using the Stylus commands like in Street Fighter 4 on 3DS but however it's better to do this with the buttons because combo commands do more damage and works better.

For the series first array onto a hand held it does look pretty good with amazing particle effects along with the physics with the girls jugs still holding up nicely for comical effect.

I may not have been playing fighting games recently but however this does look quite an enjoyable fighting game. There isn't much that the playable demo reveals but however if I ever do find myself buying this game then I'll see if this fighting dimension is still alive and well.

Although it's pointless for me to post my first impressions playing the demo due to the games already out but I'm doing this to show off my opinions on playing it.
