I know how to thai clinch and knee to the head. Was a little disappointed I could clinch someone and blast them with knees to the body and it not even KO them. Ah hard knee from the clinch hurts.... a lot. Maybe I haven't played it enough.

I did win my first fight on the hardest mode with Shogun (I think it was luck though), then Chuck proceeded toannihilateme for many fights after lol. If you jumped straight into the demo and fought on easy a trained squirrel would win 9 times out of ten.

But as I said I do like the control system and the grappling is very life like. When someone mounts me I worry, especially on hard and against Shogun.... I need to practice.

Haha, if anyone has actually watched the show before, they can easily play the game with the ability to do most of the moves without looking at the tutorial, lol.

I doubt it. Watching the event and then knowing the controls to play the game is totally different. The MMA events don't have Xbox buttons flashing on the screen to reverse moves. If your used to the Pride/ Old UFC games the controls can be a bit of a shock. I thought I was going to be awesome due to many hours of my life being dedicated to whooping my brother in Pride and the Dreamcast's UFC.

The control system does seen complicated when you first play, but after you play through the tutorial you get a better understanding. I think they have done an excellent job on the grappling. Wasn't impressed with Shogun's pulling the guard move from the clinch. The stand up cannot be covered on a normal pad and even though I don't like the distance changing the strike, I don't think there is a better way to do it. Also what's with no KOes from Thai clinch? I do think the game is incredibly fun to play and I will be purchasing it :)

Hopefully career mode is good.

You can KO from the clinch. Ive done it multiple times. Its easy to do on easy but trickier to do on harder difficulties. Gotta remember one knee doesnt knock out everyone! Although i do find the clinch to be sort of week in this game. In real life its not so easy to break someone's clinch. Just ask Nelson Siyavong.

I've Knocked People out with the flying knee, but when I get the Thai plum I can't finish people. I played my mate and he had trouble escaping this position and I spent a round and a half, kneeing the guy to the body (non-stop) and he didn't drop. When we broke I'd hit him with a bodykick and then he dropped, but in the clinch no.

I've bought all of the Fight Night games and none of them havedisappointedme. I don't think you can get a more realistic fighting game. When I boxed I'd play Fight Night before training and it would improve my reaction times. I'm going to be broke as UFC and this game are on my list.

I really enjoyed Res 5. The co-op mode was great fun and the story seemed OK. The problem for me was, it didn't feel like a Resident Evil game. I thought they were trying too hard and it felt like they were trying to rip Metal Gear Solid and Gears of War off. The lack of typewriter action and suspense left me feeling let down :(

Anderson Silva will never fight Machida as they are friends, but I think it would be a close fight with Machida taking it by UD.

I remember Silva saying he wanted to try boxing, but that was a while back. It looks like Wanderlei and Anderson have taken a dislike to each other, which saddens me. If Wand and Anderson fight I don't know who I'd root for.

I think Chuck still has it, he was dominating the fight with Rashad untill the KO, yeah he lost to Rampage and Jardine, but they are tough guys. I'm seriously worried about Shogun though, I can't get over how bad his cardio has become, I remember in Pride he used to fight 20 minutes at a high pace and not gas. Now Shogungasses in the second round *sigh*

All in all it's a good card and I'm excited about it.

Apparently the UFC demo is out on the 23rd, with Shogun and Liddell being playable characters. The demo has been delayed on so many different occasions that I'm not going to hold my breath. I am looking forward to it though.
