My Kingdom for an emblem!

Hey, first blog post here. I have been looking over Gamespot for a while before I even joined, and have been playing games since the days of the Sega Master System (Genesis is still the best console ever). Since 1996/7ish I have primarily played PC games, and haven't bought a single console since. Anything else..urm, I'm 20? Yeah, that'll do, that'll do nicely.
Anyway, enough (incredibly) brief history about me, on with the blog. I'm not sure who will read this as I only have JodyR as a friend, but that's okay, she seems to know what Scarab is, and so do I, so that's cool. Shout out to her if she reads this and anyone else!
I decided to re-subscribe to Gamespot just in time for the World of Warcraft:The Burning Crusade marathon. I have always been interested in the Warcraft universe but never played a single game from it. World of Warcraft seemed like a great game when it came out, but I couldn't afford/be bothered with the monthly subscriptions and potentially life affecting problems that go along with it.
I thought I would check out the marathon and take a more up to date look into the world of Azeroth. It was pretty good for the most part, I enjoyed Greg's comments and a look at the new environments, characters etc. and things were pretty swell.
However, I noticed a steady, burning inside of me...I wanted to play this game (or WOW, I wasn't being too specific). The more I glimpsed of Azeroth, the more I was being seduced into it's evil arms. I started looking at sites, at the price of the game, at the price of monthly subscriptions, it was getting too much to bare!
So...did I give in?
No. In the end the monthly subscription cost did stop me. Besides I made a promise a while back not to get sucked into MMORPG'S again. So what did I come away with from the experience?
A good little insight into a world I will probably never visit. And I am fine with that for now.
Oh and an emblem of course...
