There are many different genre's and they each have their own set of hardcore fans. Though I do enjoy all the genre's and can definitely play and enjoy all of them if the game is of good quality, I definitely tend to favor FPS perspectives over others. The best way that I can explain it is that it is closer to actually being there in the midst of the action than any of the others. Who doesn't love playing the game through the eyes of the powerful hero.
This of course has me a bit more excited about the new FPS games coming out in the fall. Let's take a look at a few.
These are just the FPS games that I'm looking forward to playing. They are the big name games so there's no surprises, but when you've been out of gaming as long as I have even the commercial stuff gets you excited.
