It may sound like (well actually it is :?) an oxymoron to ask for a kid-friendly shooter, but wouldn't it be a great idea to have a nurf-enabled game where you run around shooting each other with foam rockets, super soakers, and slime pellets?

I think it would be fun and it takes away most of the violence factor. Here's a list of some fairly kid-friendly games:
