Finally have a PROPER gaming computer

After 22 years of waiting, hoping and praying I have finally got my hands on a laptop that has smooth framerates on ultra high settings. Man, am I happy. At first, it didn't hit me because i downloaded/installed all the little essentials like Mozilla and many other programs that I'd say most PC users have. Anyway, now I get to look forward to games on PC, such as Dragon Age: Origins. I wasn't particularly looking forward to playing DGO on a console, nothing against consoles, but I believe the controlling, and quite possibly graphics, would be much better and easier on a computer.

First game I installed on my laptop was Bioshock. Naturally, I wanted a first person shooter and let's kinda say I wanted a bit of FPS/Graphich Settings revenge on this game and I whooped it's ass. I didn't have a FPS program running or anything but it was on highest graphics settings and super smooth and super consistent framerate average.

The laptop I purchased was an Asus G71. It's sleek, looks pretty damn cool if you ask me. I mean, it's pretty darn good looking for a first computer. As far as the specs go I was amazed the price was so low. When I first looked at this compuer it was $1,199.99 at Best Buy, which is where I got mine btw, this was two weeks before today when I purchased it. The price went up $150 about three days ago; guess those guys over at ASUS or BB or BOTH found out the mistake they made. Nevertheless, this increase in price didn't stop me from driving 40 miles from illinois to a BB in wisconsin and grabbing this laptop two minutes after the store was opened; I actually think they opened five minutes early or so, meh whatever, lucky me I suppose =).

Here are the specs for this laptop on CNET: Asus G71GX-RX05 Laptop

I don't know how to end blogs so I will end this one as such. If you are looking for a new computer, laptop, gaming computer and you want, if not the best, close to the best, or pretty darn good, whatever, I recommend this one.
