One final update before I head out.
Adam B's (former GS employee) The CNET Networks Fundraiser for Jeff
SO FAR, CNET HAS LOST $2576.75
This is a small sample, if more ppl would sig or link this then we can get an even bigger sample to get just a small idea of how much money CNET is losing.

is it just me or can no one else get onto adam b's profile anymore, it justs give me the page not found error, so either it was too busy and crashed or they closed it down.
Its still there, you just gotta believe!!
Just about 3000 now :) Let's shoot for the moon here.

That's not really the point. Somewhere up top in CNet's executive offices, there's someone in a suit saying, "How many people canceled their Total Access subscriptions?" And then whoever was responsible for that money lost will be fired, also.Yeh everyone has a bad case of Nerd Goggles going on. The forum population is peanuts compared to the population of peopele who dont have accounts, dont read the blogs, and just pop onto the front page to see if there is a new review.

So true. Core gamespot subscribers are more likely to participate on the forums and I'd imagine the suits will see a spike in cancellations in the following few days.
I'm a core, i don't think i will participate in the forums much longer, i'm just cheering this on while its still around.
You'd be surprised what a disproportionate amount of time the most hardcore users of the site spend here. It's the hardcore users that power communities, comment on a bunch of articles, write forum messages and blog posts, upload user videos and pictures, and... well... act as advisers about game purchases to countless acquaintances, both online and off. So advertisers really want to leave a good impression with those users, and will pay GameSpot a lot more if it can attract that kind of user. So GameSpot really does care quite a bit about the top 10% or whatever.

I'm trying to get a running total of the money CNET is gonna be losing just in the short term over this debacle. You ever want someone to listen? Just mention some real numbers.
For your convenience, this is the cancellation link: https://secure.gamespot.com/rps/manage/cancel.html

Get on a mod team and actually make something. In the end, that's what matters most. A solid education is very important, no doubt, but the best education in the workd is not worth real world experience.
Also, many people get in the industry by starting in QA (testing). It's not the most glamorous job, but it lets you get your foot in the door.Â
The last episode of Season 1 is pretty crazy.
Another one:
The episode where Jack has to kill Ryan Chapelle is pretty jaw-dropping.
