I've just jumped on the linux bandwagon and now have kubuntu dual booting with XP. The first few hours where a little frustrating (owing to the fact that I was trying to get a wireless network with WPA set up) but it's really starting to grow on me. Being able to source pretty much any program needed with a few clicks of the mouse (or a little typing at the console) really kicks ass. Anyone thinking of giving it a go should as you gain access to some pretty awesome applications.

What a way to start my official entry into the Gamespot books: it's currently 1.30am as I write this and I have 2 days of full on study ahead as I have to sum up the entirety of one of my courses in the space of 48 hours (I've been slacking off).

Anyway, I now ponder life as a would be programmer (programer for those in the US of A) looking for insight into how I will steer my career and hopefully one day make a mark in the gaming industry. That is a few steps away though as I still have to complete the Software Engineering degree I am soon to start. Anyone who has any tips on doing well in the industry drop me a line - I need all the help I can get!
