They did the old proverbial winning the battle but losing the war scenario. And of course, they completely forgot about thier cross town rivals in Nintendo. Because of all this, they screwed themselves. Schumi7WDC
Ya maybe but do YOU think they can turn it around and if so how? The games market is a complex financial playground built on risks and returns etc. Devs are leaping towrds teh market leader (sensible) Sony failed to secure as many exclusives as before as MS were able to otu manouvre them entirely. Many put this down to their arrogance at pwning the console market for ten+ years.
I have no idea if they can turn it around but if they can't it would make no sense turning a five / ten year loss on a piece of hardware that few want. JP fans (their roignal and most dedicated user base) have snubbed it (even tho it outsells the 360 over there), many say this is due to teh cost and the size of the thing. Here in blighty I believe, having spoken with two-gen fans of the playstation series, that he price is the single biggest selling killer. Personally, having bought this thing at UK launch I believe in Sony again but that isn't enough to turn around disappointing sales now is it...
You can create a level 50 monster to PVP as the forces of evil when ur main char hits level 10 :) But to play against other level 50 players...well that's obvious really isn't it?
