I am developing a game for PC and it seems that will be a lost cause since all the users a being drained by cell phones
Making mobile game is lost cause these days. You either have to be incredibly lucky or have insanely expensive marketing campaign to make any decent money on mobile.
If it has any chances of achieving that it's only short term. Long term PC version will crush it in sales, just like it was with first rebooted Tomb Raider, where PC sku sold over 4 mln copies and is still doing pretty damn well.
Perhaps PC fanboys don't remember trying to make comparisons to console sales regarding PC and their supposed huge fanbase. Yes, by any critical measure by which consoles are judged by hypocritical hermits on this board it is indeed a flop. I don't get why this is hard to understand.
Edit: In comparison TLOU remastered on PS4
The Last of Us: Remastered Sold 1.5M Units on Day One
And how much did it sell afterwards? XCOM2 will sell well for years. Last of US remastered pretty much stopped selling after it;s first month.
Plus you're bashing the first day sales of XCOM2, a sequel of the game where PC version outsold console ones so badly that they didn't even bother to make console versions for part 2.
