American animation these days mostly focuses on satire and comedy with the rare exceptions being those that draw inspiration from Japanese shonen animation (Avatar) or just wanna recall the action-packed Saturday morning cartoons of the 80's and superhero comic books (Thundercats).

It's not about superiority, it's about tastes and culture. For example, Japanese animes that focus on highschool make incidents like a guy's first confession to a girl as something equal to being elected presidency of a country or averting a nuclear crisis. While American highschool life is portrayed in shows like 90210 and Boston Legal.

Whatever floats your boat.

Why not just wait until you two are older? You technically sound like highschool sweethearts who will wed one day so what's the rush? Marriage involves financial support and responsibilty to raise a family. As long as you're really close to each other and don't see that connection fade anytime soon then just wait.

In terms of fandom, I love Megaman X's Zero to death. I try to make depth out of every single insignificant aspect of Zero's plot when discussing MMX games (especially X4) and the aftermath of MMZ4's conclusion, I hate the idea of displaying Japanese character "action figures" as something of pride to own, nor do I physically own one, yet I still pre-ordered Zero's latest "action figure" that features his Z-Saber. If I ever had, like FORCED, to attend a costume party with professionality I'd def go as Zero's X rendition (Daft Punk is over-used, sadly).

And yet, even after all that, I'd still not willingly do it. And I'd feel embarrassed if I had to wear the costume outside the confides of said party. Sure you need to live a little, but having to cosplay willingly and as a life goal/proud hobby? That's just way too nerdy for my tastes. I mean yeah passion in life is good but c'mon now.

LMAO! @ the Rule 34 cosplays. WTF? I really hope that one really did lose a bet.

If you're REALLY feeling torn over ditching the Saturn, don't do it. Dreamcasts are cheap and the only way to enjoy a Saturn game is via the console, as emulation is still in its infancy. I don't have that many games to play on Saturn seeing as I practically spent 2.5 years of my childhood on it. But I recalled having never played Clockwork Knight's sequel and I suddenly got the urge to do just that. The first one ended with a cliffhanger and all. My console is around but the laser is dead. Tried to emulate it and the software kept crashing.

Regarding your PSP-Vita potential buy, I'd say hold it off. I was gonna get a 3DS once KH3D or Layton VS Wright was released while prior buying Tales of Abyss and Resident Evil Revelations just in case the games are nowhere to be found once I actually bought the handheld. However, I caved in last week and thought what the heck, bought the handheld along with its version of Sonic Generations, and I'm here to report that the handheld is still in its box while the game's still wrapped in its plastic. This is mostly due to me not having time nor motivation to play the handheld but that's besides the point. I haven't unboxed it but it's collecting dust all the same. Once I get my hands on Resident Evil however...

I think my point comes across.

I'm guessing all consoles involved are legacy.

I have an NTSC PSX and PS2 that I used to play on European TVs on occassion. Worst problem I had were the colors being black and white. Resolved the issue by buying a video converter. Just hook up the S-Video cables to the converter and buy additional cords to connect the converter to the TV from the other.

Some of the TVs were also exclusively SCART-input. Resolved this by buying a SCART to S-Video apdapter.

I still prefer SMB3 but it's still an amazing game. Too bad about the Japanese people, they got the re-hashed game with insane difficulty.

KillerJuan77

They did eventually get it in the form of "Super Mario Bros. 2 USA" and "Super Mario All-Stars". And besides, if anyone played Doki they'd ignore the West's SMB2.

Now in terms of "good Western games being missed out by Japan" ratio, I'd say it's West 1 - 10000000 Japan .

Yay us lol .

1) I did not make this topic.

2) The topic creator changed the topic after I brought up the Dreamcast versions failings.

3) They are provoking me by praising anything Sega and I just use fact to correct them if anything they are the toll.

Banjo_Kongfooie

1) Does it make a difference?

2) Dude, Dark simply brought up the DC version and you troll-pounced on him as soon as you noticed him crowning it the superior version.

3) LMAO! I really hope you're just a troll having fun here. How old are you? It's unbelievable to hear that you're actually being serious. As much as I wanna be a kid again, you remind me of the reasons why it's good to have matured and turned into an adult.

Thanks for making my free time all the more enjoyable. Don't bother arguing.
