There was a cake after all

I just finished Portal. Yes, a bit late, but I just got my 360 back from repair. I have to say, it is beyond awesome. If you like having fun, go and get the Orange Box now!
I've seriously been waiting for a game that is simply fun with a feel-good ending. While it was short, it delivered on both. And for those that don't know, the song with the ending credits is easily worth the $59 price tag
Now I'm off to finish Half-Life 2 Episode 2...
Got my license!

Just give up the search America!!!
by Aeronautical on Comments
I don't know if you haven't noticed, but reality shows suck. There are those occasional gems, but in general there isn't anything that seems thought out. More specifically though, talent-searches are poping-up everyday. It all started with American Idol, then everyone decided that they weren't creative enough to come-up with a show so they make a cheap spin-off.
I mean, do you really want to find out who can remember lyrics to songs or can perform some random talent? By the end of the day, this isn't the kind of stuff I want to watch. It gives me a headache. Here's a message for those producer's: Everytime you created one of these shows 10 kittens die.
There's also this wierd sense of deja vu with each incornation. There's always a british dude that hates everything, a women that loves everything, and a guy that's somewhat level-headed. After loosing my remote, I was stuck watching America's Got Talent. There was some fight between the judges because of something they said to a little girl. It seemed staged, heck, it probably was considering the creativity of the people that make these shows. Also, when the show was finished, it left a sad feeling that America doesn't have talent.
Another great one is America Inventor. Somewhat interesting to me because I like gadgets, but why a show? Basically they choose the only good inventions and you watch them slightly improve over the weeks. Not really exciting. But hey, if watching a focus group focusing is a form of entertainment for you, then go ahead.
Thanks for listening to my rant.
Mall Madness!!!
by Aeronautical on Comments
I went to hang out with my friends at the mall. I didn't really spend any money, just bought a lot of food, gelato so good! But I'm now a proud owner of a laser pen. Played around with them before, but never owned one. We went around the mall pointing at things (Sounds stupid now, yes, but it was fun). Sometimes when placing a red dot on one of those Abercrombie models attracts a lot of attention. Seriously though, the reactions we got out of people was hilarious, even got my friend to act like a gun was about to go off. :D
But by the end of the day, I think I got one of my friends blind with all the radioactive madness!!! Sorry man (Mechaslack), next time I'll pick a laser that isn't radioactive.
Also, there was a bum that was acting kind of erratically. I can't imagine someone banging their head into a pole that hard, that many times, and be able to walk off!!! My theory is he was jealous of my laser pen! :P
Spring Break!!! And a few puzzles to keep that mind sharp!!!
by Aeronautical on Comments
Finally! This break has been long over due. Now I can relax for a week, get some o' them gamerpoints. But wait! If I do that, my mind will sour. So here are a few puzzles I had to do in Algebra II today. Some of my friends have the same class here on Gamespot, so you guys shouldn't give out the answers!
1) What is the one thing shared by all three items in the same group?
A. (1) a cow (2) a shoe (3) a baby
B. (1) a doctor's office (2) a post office (3) music
C. (1) a zipper (2) a shark (3) a comb
D. (1) restaurant goer (2) a bird (3) the Senate
E. (1) a potato (2) a hurricane (3) a target
F. (1) a river (2) a person (3) a cave
2) Regina left home one afternoon. She turned to the right and started running straight ahead. Then she turned to her left, ran, turned to her left again, ran, turned to her left one more time, and ran even faster. She headed for home. Then she saw a masked bow waiting for her. Who was he?
3) Add a letter at the beginning. Then add the same letter where the second word would begin to make a recognizable phrase.
- otow
- tudykills
- astood
- oubleate
- oodrief
4) This sentense contains two mistakes. What are the mistakes?
5) There are 2 rooms, one with 3 light bulbs (that never burn out) mounted on the wall, one with 3 switches (that never wear out). Your goal: to figure out which switch goes to which light bulb.
These 2 rooms are separate and once inside one, you cannot not see inside the other. The room with the 3 switches has 1 switch connected to 1 light bulb in the other room. There are no tricks to the wiring, each individual switch goes to exactly 1 light bulb, and vice versa. You are allowed to go into the room with the 3 light bulbs as often and for as long as you like, but you cannot damage anything (to look at the wiring, for instance). Once you do go into the room with the 3 switches, you can flip the switches on and off as often and for as long as you like (again, barring any damaging activity), but as soon as you leave that room, you cannot return. You can then go back to the other room, but then you have to give your answer at that point.
