Final note before I go to bed.. Ogame

I've been playing this sci-fi browser MMO called "Ogame" for the last few months and it's actually amazing. The name isn't very good, which is why I almost didn't play it, but it really is a huge part of my life now as I'm checking in every few hours to make sure my planet isn't under attack or whatnot. It's kind of like a browser version of EVE I guess, though I've never played it.

If you like sci-fi stuff, give it a look. It deals a lot with resource management, building defenses and fleets, and PvP.

I play on the Draco server, and my name is Afro... So give me a call!

Games I'm Playing

I usually don't do this, but lately I've been 'multitasking' games. Which one I play depends on my situation or mood. I've become addicted to Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness for the PSP, which is great because I can play it anywhere. When I'm looking for more of a quick play when I don't have enough time to dedicate the brain power to a strategy game, I play Burnout Legends on the PSP.

Then on my PS3 I'm currently playing Marvel vs Capcom 2. At first I didn't like it because I thought it lacked in content, but come on.. It has 56 characters! And I'm starting to realize that they all play very differently.

That's about it right now. It's hard cutting up time amongst girlfriend, friends, working out, reading, writing, and video games. But I manage ;)

Intro

Just thought I'd start this blog for anyone interested, and also for myself so I can look back and see what I was up to.

First off I have five main loves in life. Of these loves, I have favorites.

My sixth love isof course my girlfriend, whom I've been dating for nine months now, but I won't bore you about her... Yet :P

Movies

I love any good drama or thriller, one that requires really good script writing. My favorites are Memento, The Life Aquatic of Steve Zissou, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and A Serious Man. I have a lot more, but I'll stop there :)

Writing

I have a lot of ideas, but I don't actually get them written down. Of course I've actually written a lot of stuff, such as a short story about a violent rebellion I may post here some day. I've also written a 30-page 'first part' of a book series I'm wanting to continue about a man being stranded alone on the planet as he tries to piece together the mysteries going on around him.

As for ideas, I have a lot of those. Two friends making the best TV show ever, two aged hitmen trying to get revenge on each other, a man that receives telephone numbers in his dreams that all point towards a common factor, a man trying to reconnect with a dead lover as he finds messages from her lying around his small town.

Video Games

I'll give most games a good try if it looks like it could be good, I'm not really inclined to a certain series or system. I do have a PS3 and PSP, so I guess I'm more of a Sony guy. I really do want a 360 though, as they have a huge amount of amazing exclusives. We'll see.. Once I get a job.

As for favorites, I love Burnout Paradise, Shadow of the Colossus, Dead Space, Castlevania series, Demon's Souls, Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The latter is very fun to play with friends.

Science Fiction

This could really go along with reading, but I set aside a whole section for this because I just love the genre itself. Whether it be Star Wars books or movies, games like Homeworld or EVE Online (which I REALLY want to play), I can dig almost anything that takes place in space. There's just something about the feel of it all I love.

Reading

As I love writing, I also must love reading. Just recently this summer I have really boosted my reading interest though, and have started to blaze through books. In fact, just last night I started Foundation by Isaac Asimov and am already halfway done.

My favorites include Shogun and King Rat, both by James Clavell; The Informers and Lunar Park by Bret Easton Ellis; Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn (I just recently finished this and loved it, can't wait to continue with the next book); House of Leaves byMark Z. Danielewski, which was an extremely terrifying read; and although I haven't finished it yet, I can safely put Foundation by Isaac Asimov in my favorites.

That's all for now, I really need to get to bed though as I wasn't planning on typing all this, haha.

Good night, Gamespot
