i read some thread about dlp TV's in the 360 section, i was just wondering if anyone out there has any useful info on what to look for when shopping for one? Are there certain name brands that out perform others? and about the bulb that has to be changed, can i do it myself? any bit of info would be useful
I saw the thread and read a few of the msgs, then i went off to amazon.com to look up a DLP tv. For those of us not "in the know" on these types of TV's (myself being one...) what should we be lookin for when shoppin for a TV as awesome as this? Is there a certain namebrand that seems to out perform the others? and about these bulbs that need to be changed, can i do it myself, or do i have to call someone, or worse yet, take it in somewhere? Alls what im seeing is one sexy ass Halo 3 experience!!
ok, here's the update... yes, the power box IS fried, got a converter and tested it. Now my prob is getting a new one. I'm in contact with xbox.comppl, but they want me to call. That's kinda hard where I'm at. Anyone have one for sale?! I'll give ya 20 euro for it!! (that's proy about 25 dollars US!)
ok, so im now in a country that uses 220 instead of 110. I KNOW that I need a converter to use my 360, but i let a buddy use it who didn't have a converter. He said he plugged it it, and got no power. My questions are, is the power box fried, or the 360 itself? I figure its just the power box, but seeing as I cant get a converter yet, idk for sure. Secondly, if it is just the powerbox, are there any online stores that I can order just that part from?
...you know what would be really sweet? if they took the idea and concepts from halo and threw it in a RPGish game like WoW, that way, the 360 can have an mmorpg that's awesome. Some of you might be thinking it'd be like starcraft, but seeing as I've never played SC, i can't say... I just think it'd be cool if you could take Spartans and build them how you want them in an RPG tpye game, instead of just being an all around soldier, you could train them to be scouts, or demo... eh, nm, I'm just day dreaming...
...maybe the dude was just tryin to get a rise out of everyone here. Whatever the case is, anyone who's played H2 or H3 online knows that u don't just walk around getting running riots cause that's what u feel like doing that afternoon/morning/evening
