Sold!

Wow, it looks like CNET has been bought by CBS for $1.8 BILLION!

This includes Gamespot and gamefaqs. Here's to hoping nothing drastic changes around here.

GTA lV

Oh man, it's amazing so far! Radio is AWESOME, I flipped to the "Hardcore" station and what do I hear? BAD BRAINS! HOLY HELL YES!

GameFly ROUND #2

So my Gamefly experience is slowly going downhill. I thought it was awesome but it's pretty bad. Gamefly's availability system is flawed and misleads customers. When I have a bunch of medium to high availability games on my Game-Q I would sure as hell think I would get at least 1 out of the list.

They received my last game (Samurai Western) today and I was glad to see that they received it. I went to work came back to check my e-mail to see that they didn't ship anything out... Now I have to wait until next week until I get a new game in the mail.

I might as well downgrade my 2 game plan to 1 game because what's the point of having the plan if you can't even get the games you want. SWEET JESUS... I wouldn't recommend this to people but if your game rentals are around $9 for a single game you might want to check it out still because you'll be saving a ton of money.

Gamefly

I signed up for the Gamefly service a few weeks back because local rentals are about 9 dollars a pop for any next gen title. I'm glad I made the switch to Gamefly. This may sound like viral marketing but I had my doubts at first. The shipping was great, I got my first game in 3 days. I sent the first game I rented (Dynasty Warriors 6) back to them and it took 5 days to get another game. I was shocked to see fast shipping, it took about 2-3 days for them to receive my game and I got it back just as fast.

I started with the one game plan, but today I upgraded it to the two game plan because my expectations were massively exceeded. It seems like a better deal in the long run, a bit more expensive but worth it.

Hopefully I'll be getting Dark Sector(360) as my next game but it's at low availability so I will most likely be receiving Samurai Western for the PS2.

I always wanted to play Samurai Western despite the mediocre reviews just to try it, you know? Samurais in my western? HELL YEAH. What an awesome concept too bad the game is reportedly not as awesome as the concept. Kind of like Six String Samurai but not it apocalyptic Las Vegas.

Dark Sector looks awesome as well, we'll just see which game I get.

New blogs in my profile? It's more likely than you think.

I finally got my xbox360 back on the first of February! It took Best Buy a whole month to get a big shipment in and I could've sent my 360 to microsoft and got it back earlier. I had a PrP so I got a brand new one for free and 50 dollars back for the price drop since I got my 360. It was a newer model so I got hooked up with the hdmi port for a nice upgrade, and it seems to run much cooler for some reason. I didn't think the pro bundles came with the smaller processor...

Last friday I picked up Lost Odyssey. And It's great so far, i'm on the second disc and I really like the story. It actually keeps me interested so i'll probably end up playing it all the way through, unlike most rpg's i've played recently.

I had bought Dead Rising the day my 360 died, and played through that numerous times. I'm trying to get more achievements and unlock in game items right now. The infinity mode kicks my butt! I can survive for about a day, and end up dying. I should probably go unlock the true megabuster to make it easier but that's a chore of boredom and tediousness.

RRoD...

OH JOYUS! This occured on the 1st of the year, what a great way to start it. I have the bestbuy PRP so I should be able to replace it no questions asked. But according to some forum posts, they may have changed their policy so I'm a bit worried and certainly don't have the cash to buy a new 360.

Edit- IRONIC that I happen to post this blog exactly one year from my first blog on getting my 360. I heartily LOL'd

Photobucket

Assassin's Creed

So I just beat the game. GREAT STORY, repeditive gameplay. And I just realized that missed one achievement that I can't go back and get... So i'm going to start playing through it again because it deals with the some story elements, that i'd like to check out.

UGH!

Enter the HDTV

I just purchased a Samsung 32in HDTV. The LN-T3253H model at Best Buy. I didn't get to take it home since they were sold out, but I should have anytime between sunday and tuesday. I can't wait to play some 360 on it!

Lets start over

Well gamespot, it's been quite a while since i've sat down and gave any thought to typing up a blog so i'm about to change that. I've decided to make my new future blogs over a wide span of media games, music, movies. You know, all that jive.

My last blog posted was on April 10, 05 ! Well it's time to change that. Alrighty then. . .

Christmas came and past by extremely fast but that's not a bad thing. I got some very nice gifts from the family. I stepped into next-gen territory officially when I got an Xbox 360 on Christmas and a few other small things I wanted. I recieved Condemned: Criminal Origins along with the pro package.

I played Condemned to death, well actually just till I beat it. I don't think i'll get the drive in me to go back and play the game through again to get the achievements because the game got boring and repetitive. Overall it was a good game, though the originality of the level design, and gameplay quickly wore off. The storypf the game kept me playing.

The day after I ended up going to gamestop to pick up a game I had about a couple weeks before christmas. That game was Shenmue 2, and I never originally owned an Xbox to play it and to hear it being compatible for X360 I had to get it. Playing the Prequel on the DC years before I only owed myself the pleasure of playing this game. My friend drove me over since i'm having some car troubles (which is being fixed ATM). They still had the copy I had my eyes on and ended getting it for $5.60. Man I was estatic when it rang up with the price, having thought I was going to drop $10 dollars on it. (not bad either, but I saved 5 dollars)

I've played through Shenmue 2 and retained the charm and incredible experience I felt with the first game. Though, i'm a bit pissed about the cliff hanger ending. Let me just say this game was first released on Oct 30th, 2002. . . ! And still no word on the third game in the series from Yu Suzuki. Only word on the Shenmue universe is an upcoming Shenmue ONLINE MMO. Christ, am I the only one that thinks this is a bad move for the series? The single player games have the great story and experience with it but with a MMO you'll be getting a side story (It seems) and most likely mediocre gameplay. Who knows I could be eating my words later on, but for now it seems ludacris to jump to a MMO over the third game in the series. And I most likely won't experience the Online game because it's highly doubtful it will come to the states. Oh well. . .

Ok time for some music and movies i've picked up recently.

I picked up Strike Anywheres first full length CD "Change is a Sound" It's politically charged punk rock at it's best. The music is fast, hard, and in your face, but at the same time it's easy to sing along to. The scratchy singing and "screaming" (I prefer to call it yelling because it doesn't sound like screams) seems heartfelt and it's probably the best part about listening to this through all the way. Hell it's a great album, if you like punk rock in general, you're bound to like this.

I picked up Jackass: Number 2 on dvd. This movie is explained just by the name. If you don't know about this movie, you've been living under a rock or. . . I guess you aren't able to see it where you're from. The movie itself is great if you like nonstop stupidity and hilarity for 95+ minutes. The extras are great, and there's a hell of a lot of extras. About an extra hour of Unrated and deleted scenes makes this DvD a sick buy. There's more though, and I haven't gotten to it all yet but soon I will.

I'm aware that I need some more 360 games, I'll have some soon but as of now i'm strapped for cash and i'm probably just going to pick Gears up in a few days and that'll be it for awhile. Not the best way to enter next gen I guess but my collection will start to grow in no time.

Well damn, i've gone and wrote A LOT. I'll be updating my frequently, lol HOPEFULLY And if you read this, you're a damn cool cat.

Stay fresh Gamespot.
