This is blog is a little late. I've recently returned from overseas, in the Czech Republic, after being cut from the team. It sounds bad, but I've no regrets, especially the reason being 'communicative difficulties'. There were only two other (American) players on the team that knew english, so I almost expected something like this to happen. Nonetheless it was a great experience, and I could only learn from it. (Note: Yes, I did take pictures :) they've been taken to be developed and I will pick them up a.s.a.p).
As soon as I returned, however, I was already looking into trying out for the NBA Development League. The chances of being scouted by an NBA team would've been just as good as playing overseas. A couple weeks ago I was in Austin (Texas) where I tried out for the Austin Toros. Unfortunately no success. Of course the coaches reassured me it wasn't due to lack of skill. I then almost immediately headed for Tulsa (Oklahoma) seeing if I could make the 66ers. I had made the first cut, but failed to make the next.
I'm currently in Missippi where I'm working out with a former coach, staying sharp. I should be home within a week. I've been exceedingly busy and surprised my able to stop and make this blog, checking in. A lot has happened, so I've tried my best to sum it up in this short blog. I hope to bring stories of major successes in the future, but my status must remain barely active :?. Thanks for everyone's support :).

Here's a link to the basketball team my brother is playing for overseas. Unless you can read Czech, I don't think you'll be able to understand it. He should be on the main page, but in case, here's their article on him. When I googled it, they didn't offer a translated version, and trust me I tried to look for a free translator online, but no luck. Fun fact; as for the picture in their writing on him, it's old. The college he left early was Delta State (Mississippi) not Georgia State.
He gave me his log-in over the phone, so I could show everyone (that reads his blog), so here it is. I'm guessing whever he is staying, he hasn't gotten an internet connection of his own (yet). Actually, come to think of it, he's supposed to get AIM to avoid the expensive long-distance calls, soon. Leave any comments you have, I'll be glad to share them with him, as for the mean time, I have my own account to attend to. Hopefully pictures of his own will be coming soon.

Well, looks like I'll be headed out sooner than I thought. My flights been bumped to tommorow, so I'll post a few more times before I leave. It's great, where, and why I'm going, but I was looking foward to tommorow as my step-dad was coming up here tommorow. At least I'll get to see him in person before I go. It's been fun :).
P.S
Go congratulate Phil_E (Phil Elliott). He's getting married tommorow! I guess a lot is happening this weekend.

Well, the contract's been signed, and I'm schedule to start playing Basketball overseas for the Czech Republic. Words can not truly describe how enthusiastic I am to finally start my professional basketball career, regardless of where. I'm eager to see how different the commune is, and get a chance to visit the city Praque, a major tourist site. I've done a little homework and it seems like a real beautiful place to be and hopefully live. The team is providing housing, however I won't get to see where I'll be staying until I get over there.
So, there you have it. In just short while I'll be headed to Europe. Who knows, once I leave, how much access I'll have to GameSpot, so I'll make the best of the time I have left. :D
Minor Update: The date I'm leaving is set to August 6th, 2006.

Hey guys and gals, just thought I should give a little update explaining my inactivity in the past week or so. I've currently been working a lot and focusing on Basketball. Last weekend I was in Cleveland attending practices, and during the week was in and out of the house, putting myself out there.
Lucky me, it worked, and although it isn't the NBA I have a chance at playing for some of the teams overseas. France, and Germany have already let their interest be known, and not tooting my horn, but the Czech Republic is making a very generous offer considering, should I accept, I'd be officially a rookie.
Things are beginning to look on the up and up again, as I was down I wasn't able to get much workouts with the NBA teams, but for that I blame my 'unofficial' agent.
Anyway I was home all day yesterday, and will be for the next couple of days or so and will resume my activities on GameSpot. Oh, and my gamespace banner got accepted. Neat :).
