[QUOTE="Kalionix"] [QUOTE="feel_freetwo"]you want reasons why it sucks? its slow, it has a stale interface giving you no indication of whats going on, or loading. its copy cat features of mac osx are done poorly, there are no hot corners, there cmd+tab feature isnt as clear. the 3d desktop is in no way as productive and clear to use. it crashes alot its not as seure as mac osx it has a more complex interface, the programs menu for example. it has no off button. it does, but it uses the standardized "off" button as a sleep button. the symbol is used even on microsfots xbox as a "off" button. no wonder most people are puttign there pc's to sleep thinkign they are tured off. not really innovative, the amoutn of things it copied from max osx. 10 packages. can you seriously tell me what one you need? it takes more ram. theres already been a recall doesnt work with a ton of hardware. its dvd maker is a bunch of menus. compare it to mac osx idvd imovieHD>>>>>windows movie maker itunes>>>>windows media player garage band>>>>>>no windows counterpart iweb>>>>>>no windows counter part everything works on a mac easily. its flat out a rubbish operating system. in fact the only arguments for gettign a pc, is the amount of upgrades you can get and the games. whcih really go together, because your upgrading only to play better games.feel_freetwo
Reasons why I like it:
It's fast for me (Really fast)
I love not seeing all the background loading
I don't think it looks like macintrash at all
Love the 3d desktop
Never crashed for me
No security leeks so far
I love the new interface (as stated above)
You can very easily change the sleep button to an off button. (Very simple)
Innovative? DirectX10 by itself is innovative enough
Love that they give you options this time. Not like xp and xp pro. (2)
It does take more Ram. Just buy more. (Easy)
Never need to use the recall on my vista
Works with all my hardware. Much better than xp.
DVD maker? I don't use it anyway, I play games.
ImovieHD- Who cares
Itunes- dito
Everything works on mac that is designed for mac. Vista is Brand new. And with all Brand new OS's they need time to work thier way in. Just because people try to install Vista on thier systems with 64MB of RAM and thier 800 Mhz CPU doesn't make it bad. It makes thier system bad. If you want to upgrade, then upgrade your system. If you don't then stay in xp, or if you don't want to play games and have many programs available to you then stay with Mac.
everything you said, goes agaisnt conventially design. its totally fanboyish. i admit im mildy baised, but unlike you i have some what of a justification, standard design issues. you say you dont like to see what your loading, what your doing? this goes against convential design and is stupid. also you assume that i have a rubbish computer. 3ghz processor and 2gb of ram is pretty good to me. vista is great for games, but dont stick up for the interface and the os just because it plays the games you love. ps2 plays all the games i love, but i dont stick up for its awful music player. vista is rubbish, great for games.
Uhh a single core 3ghz is crap. It's old. Most of the petium 4 line was crap.
