Look at the 360 look how many PS3 exclusives went to it because of sales. Sales did affect it. Many great PS2 games are going to get sequals and a lot of them are going on the Wii.

Remeber the dreamcast it was amazing amazing games, good online but it's sales were bad. Games were not made anymore for it why becasue of sales. This obviously affected the gamers. PS3 is not gettin gthat many games becasue of sales. Sales do matter they affect the gamer too.

When you work in a small pool of available software you can sell better. Unlike other places where they'd have to compete with other software.
