lol I always think these threads are funny. The reason that different users have different results with Vista is because Vista was never the problem. The problem is something else in their setup (probably driver related). I run oblivion fine on vista and neverhad any problems with mods. I certainly would try it before you go to the trouble of creating a dual boot for 1 game.adrake4183

I installed oblivion today and it works fine- so It is safe to say that user mods will work too! (fingers crossed)

Thanks, this has been quite helpful, but I am guessing that the player-modded creations will not work? They were the main reason I bought the game in the first place for PC (I have PS3 version), and I want to know if it is worth me creating a dual-boot system (with XP) in order to run Oblivion on?

Ok first, I am new to the forum so please excuse me if this is in the wrong place etc., and with regards to the Oblivion and VIsta issues, sorry, but I am confused- It seems that different users have had different results when running oblivion on their Vista machine, and, after checking numerous websites, and threads, I am none the clearer on the chances of success of Oblivion working on my PC. I read somewhere that the difficulties with the incompatibility were only present in the earlier versions of Vista? I do not know the EXACT reason, possibly something to do with weak drivers... Anyway, I have just bought a PC to play this game, so I am assuming the Vista will be the most up to date, so the question is: WILL IT WORK?? Also, is there still difficulties experienced with the .64 biy edition and this game? Finally, as I am sure many people are asking, is there any possibility that Oblivion will work with the new Windows 7 when is is released? any thoughts or help would be very helpful.
