I don't know when I was last online, but I figured I'd blow some dust off of this ol' profile. RTSGU is dead, eh... wow. I've been gone a long time. I can't really say much, I'm both busy in real life and my laziness got the better of me.
Oh well.

Yes, I am back. No, I probably wont be back for long. This is just a "feel like it" sort of thing. Well, the school year has just blazed past me. I didnt even realize it. Today, the 12th of June, year 2008, the Sophomore year of Chris ends. Terrific.
I must be suffering from some sort of manic disease. Nothing hold my interest anymore. Warhammer 40k doesnt, anime doesnt, NOTHING does. I must be going insane. Or sick. Or both.
Anyways... my games list...
Hellgate London: Big patch, for both SP and MP. The ironic thing is though, the SP patch screws up the MP, and the MP patch screws up the SP. Interesting. I got up to level 3, then quit. Reminds me too much of the MMOs ive wasted nearly half my life on. The gameplay is pretty generic, I just understood why it got a bad review. Haha.
Battle for Middle Earth 2: I have this? Oh my god, I really do. Seems like its trying to milk the movie franchise though. It doesnt seem to try hard enough for me to care. The gameplay mechanics are pretty odd, and the whole "squad" thing it tries so hard to pull off doesnt work either. Its just like medieval CnC.
Command and Conquer 3: I have this too? Haha. EA is mind controlling me. Just the same old CnC with a new graphics engine. Doesnt hold my attention for long. Might as well play Tiberian Sun or Red Alert 2.
Mass Effect: For those of you who read C0m1's blog, it was me who did all that, not him. I finished the game in almost every possible way imaginable. Then I discarded it like a dry rag. And what the hell is with the romance "sub-plot"? You just do it with Ashley, then you go and save the universe (like humans always do), and boom. Game ends. For shame, Bioware. I expected better.
Fable, The Lost Chapters: Hmm. This was a pretty good game, I guess. I havent played it since last summer, though. But I guess it gave me a good feeling, so I assume its a good game. Peter Molyneux sure knows his stuff.
Universe at War: Now this game I regret getting. Didnt even play it for even a half of a half of a day, and I got bored of it. Aliens invade Earth and then fight each other, and some mysterious race comes up from the ocean to combat them as well? Boring.
Gears of War; Lasted me a few days. Kind of scary in the right places, but Dom's incredibly stupid AI always ruins the mood. The Berserkers were a blast to fight, and added some flavor into the game, along with the cover system and the divine chainsaw on the Lancer. Short, in my opinion, though, but maybe its because I played it through on Co-op.
Crysis: Occupado-ed a week in my life. Or rather, in C0m1's life. I dont see whats so revolutionary about it. It was optimized horribly. Mass Effect, I had to admit, looked better than Crysis, and it didnt even run the Crytek Engine. Thats just my opinion, though.
Warhammer 40,000: The only thing that remotely has my attention anymore. I find myself playing Dark Crusade a lot more often. I never bought Soulstorm, but from what Ive heard its not much to miss. Waiting for Dawn of War 2, naturally. Ive played this so much in the recent days that I can take 7v1 Insane difficulty in Skirmish, and Im the 1. It only works if Im Space Marines, though, Im not too used to (or liking) the other races.
Company of Heroes: I suppose I should try this again. Been a long time since I have. I remember playing it way back when. The Nazis were better in CoH, imo, because I loved using Panzer IVs and Panthers to round up the enemy. The physics and graphics are nice too, I should say, but I dont always want to be "the blue colored base".
Need for Speed Carbon: Waaaaaaaaaaay done with this. Lost the CD key for it too. Ah well. Not that I really cared, this game was buggy even with the patches. Always kept crashing on me. But at least I beat it, thats all my head needs to know.
And thats bout it. As I said before, this is a "I feel like it" sort of thing, Im not really back. No use trying to keep lying to myself that Im gonna update this blog. Cause I probably wont. But on to other things...
Super Smash Brothers Brawl: Im semi-excited about this game. I played it, and I really liked it. Im really good as Ike or Marth, but any other characters I suck as. Im pretty good on the Gamecube controller, but I think I fight better using the Wii-mote. And no, I do not own this game. I wish I did though. Its pretty intense.
Red Steel: Now here comes the rant. This is the biggest piece of **** I have ever played. 4 players on one TV. Bad enough as it is, because the screens are so **** small. We (as in me, C0m1, and two of our friends) were playing that... one game mode with the phone. Stupid phone. Seriously, lady, Im in the middle of a Japanese complex with 3 other madmen running on the loose with guns, and you think you can call me? Tch. Anyways, we switched over to Team Deathmatch. Man, I hated that. As an accustomed and probably formerly respected Sniper in Valve games, the Wii-mote ****ing ticks me off. Terrible accuracy, and someone always came up behind me and hit me so I went unconscious, and then killed me. Happened to me 30 times. I just dropped the Wii-mote, yelled "This is ****ing Bull****.", and walked off to the kitchen of my friend's house (it was his birthday). My friends were laughing at me cuz I sucked so bad, but I told them their accuracy isnt even remotely as good as mine in CS: Source and they can come take me 7 on 1 if they wanted to, and Id still win. They shut up after that.
Well, thats it for this blog. Probably never coming back. Ill probably use this place to rant about how stuff happens and how bad some games are, but thats about it. Peace.
Warhammer for the win. Praise the Emperor and strike down his foes.
Well... Im getting really incompetent. Im not really checking this blog anymore, so WHY NOT SHUT IT DOWN!
I know most of you all probably dont care, so Ill just make it short.
This blog will be going into indefinite suspension (since i cant find the delete button)
This will also probably be the last blog I will every post on here.
If you need me, and have Xfire, just look me up, username: anaris117, and say youre from Gamespot so I know you arent a stranger.
Yea. Anyways you guys probably dont care. Laters. Forever! :D
This is very interesting. Very interesting indeed.
Tagged by the name of Fallen Empire: Legions, this game is supposed to be the next Tribes game. Looking through the screenshots, I can see why.
Tribes, being one of my all-time favorite series, this is definately on my to-watch list. Its about d*mn time they made something like this, I should say. Ive been waiting for another one of these games for an eternity.
I have Tribes: Vengeance. I was rather proficient with that Spinfusor... haha. I amuse myself so easily with that gun. The chaingun was bleh. Heavy armor was bleh. Light armor was the way to go, lol.
I love their suits in Fallen Empire. It looks so militaristic, but oddly reminiscent of the Imperials in Vengeance.
Fallen Empire: Legions Soldier
He looks pretty cool to me, holding that minigun with one hand...
Well, cheers again!
And please read my previous blog. PLZ PPLZ.
In a probably fruitless and half-witted attempt to get myself to update this blog more often, I introduce this unto thee, my fellow friends!
GUN
Of the Month!
Starting next week I will put in my blog header a GUN OF THE MONTH: (link to Gun on Wikipedia). Im not sure if anyone else is interested, but Im trying to keep up with my brother (who is C0m1, in case you forgot) and his "Today's Mood" blog header.
I also noticed that Wikipedia has almost all the guns in an article, but most are just a sentence long. I will try to get my guns to have a detailed article page.
Next weeks gun will be the XM-8.
Cheers to all! And wish me good luck on my finals exams next week!
Its in the News tab of Gamespot.
Some American is sueing Nintendo and Sony for using his/his company's patent (something about using ID numbers to correspond to a home system, ie. a console, and using it to do motion sensing to do activities or something like that, hard to explain) to create their Wii-motes and Dualshock controllers.
While I completely agree that sueing is up to a person's thought, this is the one thing that pissed me off:
1. "Microsoft is probably behind this one. Theyre afraid theyre gonna lose the game race so they have to sue Nintendo and Sony."
And:
2. "Microsoft should just go broke."
1A. If they are really behind this lawsuit... well, why would the world's leading technology products supplier need with sueing their competition?
2A. That, my good sir, is impossible. If my statistics are correct, you are using a Microsoft computer, with a Microsoft monitor, with a Microsoft keyboard, and a Microsoft mouse. See how much you just contributed just by HAVING a computer?
Seriously. I respect everyone's opinions, but they shouldnt just blather out nonsense like Bush does with his war-making...
Seriously. They just take up space on my union page. I dont participate in them anymore. I dont post, dont check up on em, heck, Ive even forgotten what unions Im in (I dont bother checking).
Maybe I should just quit all of my unions. Its not like im doing anything, and I dont contribute anything at all. Gragh.
I dont know why, but Ive been losing interest in maintaining this blog. Possibly because Im a lazy oaf, possibly because school is ruining my life like it usually does. It doesnt matter either way, because this blog will probably fall into neglect again. Im trying to find a way to motivate myself to update this blog daily and get myself re-involved in union activity. I guess I wont find it this month...
Agh. Im in like over 6 unions and I dont even do anything in ANY of them. Even the one im an officer in. I keep telling everyone how I hate leadership roles... >_<
Again. >_>
The three games I bought, through my view, are total letdowns.
Gears of War: Great gameplay, cool co-op, nice graphics. Probably superior to the 360 version in every way... BUT, Windows Live sucks. It wont update. I cant get achievements, not that I would want them in the first place...
Crysis: Great graphics, great audio, great story, cr@p gameplay, no innovation. Nice game to play through once, but it loses its value.
Universe at War: ... seems like another mediocre RTS. And it lags, even on my totally awesome system. What the heck...
Gragh. Even off-the-shelf games don't hold my interest anymore. Back to the free MMOs, i guess...
... unless you play Cabal Online. Ive been waiting a whole year for news on this game to be released in North America. Well, they finally are, and I am so gonna be there when they release its final version.
For those who dont know (I think I posted a blog on this game and its combat forms a ton o' blogs back) Cabal Online is a very fast-paced action game. Its so highly acclaimed in Europe it rivals World of Warcraft in popularity (I think).
Well, this is where I heard the news: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/gameid/263/

Its finally come to good ol' USA. I just hope those d*mn Brazilians dont mess it up like all the other games...
Dont get me wrong, Im not racist. But in all the other games, Brazilians have a reputation for being stupid and pking senselessly. Thats why they are disliked.
Im sure this wont matter to most of you, but for me, its GREAT news!
Soooooooooo... I got Crysis. Played it. Got through the aliens and crud. It was really cool, actually, I like grabbing alien throats. Haha. "Welcome to Earth, home of the mugging."
Well anyways, I play it through, get that weird alien slushie machine, use it to take down flying aliens with slushie machines, go back to the USS Constitution, kill big alien bot, kill even BIGGER alien bot, escape...
I see the cinematic and im all like: "Oh yea we going back to the island to kick some butt!"
AND THEN:
Boom. Credits.
>_>
