I've been banging on about the problems I've had with the 3.0 Formware update and how I can't play any of the games I have, and someone suggested it could be a blu-ray drive problem. However, today I discovered that I CAN play SF4, but still can't play any of the other games. Also, whenI start up MUA2, it asks to install a patch, and I hit OK. However, the game either freezes or the PS3 beeps and restarts. Any help?

I'm still having PS3 problems, even after 3.1. Now, all my games do not work. Most won't even go to the title screen, a problem also encountered with games I just bought like MUA 2 and DIRT 2. Also, the in-game XMB has still not been fixed, and just freezes up my PS3. I now own a big black plastic box that is completely unable to perform it's primary function of playing games. I'm so pissed off. Anyone else having major problems still with their PS3s?
Yeah, I noticed this as well. I've turned that setting off and then back on again, but it doesn't seem to affect it. To play a disk that's already in the console, I have to take it out and then put it back in again. I wish I'd never got the 3.0 update now. Most of it's pointless anyway.
Today I encountered problems with my PS3, which I suspect may be down to the Firmware 3 update, even though it has been working perfectly fine for the past couple of days with the update installed. I loaded up FIFA 09 and it got to the title screen, where it asks you to press Start. When you do, it freezes. Also, I tried Madden 10. Again, it got to the title screen, but when I pressed start, it did not recognise it for some reason. Apart from this, the in-game XMB seems not to work, as the screen darkes like it normally would, bu the icons fail to load up and when I try to back out of it, the console freezes again.
Can anyone help me or advise me on what to do?
P.S My PS3 console is a 40Gb one, not an original 60Gb one.
Based on last season, Peterson's better. I hope LT will get somewhat back to hiis best, like he was a couple of years ago. However, Peterson is still early on in his career, and should have a very successful one. LT can be argued to have been one of the best running backs in NFL history alongside Payton, Faulk, Sanders, etc.
