Action RPGs
by Andoverjon on Comments
I was excited for that new Square RPG valkerie profile or whatever its called, but then I saw on the movie clips that it is JUST like Star Ocean and Radiata Stories. Star Ocean i HATED but managed to play all the way through. But Radiata stories, i just wasted money because i played for like 10 hours then quit and held onto it for a while in case i ever wanted to play it again, but then sold it.
Does anyone like these games? and if so, WHY? Dark Cloud I like, but this is different. and DUMB. the fighting is dumb and so are the characters, cuz they say stupid things every two seconds, and honestly i don't like playing the games when other people are aroudn because i get embarrassed. that's how goofy the games are.
Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX

Well, I recently decided to go back to playing some old PS RPGs since my brother took the PS2 to NYC this summer (he is working there).
I figured i wouldn't buy FF VII since I had already played most of it when it came out (I almost beat it but it was a borrowed game from my cousin and he wanted it back during the final dungeon part). Anyways, i pretty much beat IX, just need to finish the final boss, BUT i decided to get FF VII afterwards (I have played FF VIII before, but on the computer and as a joint effort so i don't remember it much, and what i do remember whas that i didnt' like it).
Anyways apparently FF VII is 70 bucks used, cuz they dont' make it anymore, which is RETARDED. but i bought it anyways. Hope it turns out well and I hope it was as good as I remember. Cuz as far as I'm concerned, VIII and IX are good games but III, VII and X are masterpieces.
Sports trivia

This probably isn't the right place to post this topic, but its the only blog i have.
I was looking at some stats at the basketball sisters site of baseball-reference.com (good site for sports stats) when i came across Hakeem Olajuwon. I know he is one of the four players to get a quadruple double, so i was looking through his game logs to see where it was. well, i came across March 3 1990 AND March 20 something 1990.
I thought this was impossible and as it turns out ONLY the second one counted. THe first one, he was one assist shy but for some reason he HAD a quadruple double but the NBA took it away. does anyone know the exact details of why this happened?
ALSO, babe RUth only had ONE MVP. He wasn't even on the voting list in many years. I thought maybe ppl back then only could be voted once because of this, but no, ppl back then were voted in as MVP twice, so can anyone explain that phenomenon to me?
Well, if ppl can't, hopefuly they at least learned some cool trivia.

BUT they are for my little brother and my cousin. I'm off at college so i can't play till the summer. I guess i can't complain since i just got a new computer but... its still dumb.
Also, my little brother bought elderscrolls IV:oblivion because he heard me talking about it so much. He plays runescape, and i told him this is sort of like that game but a lot better in every way. When i get home, i bet he'll have barely played the game. He's only 11 and he sucks at video games, so i'm pretty sure he can't play elderscrolls.

RPGs: maybe i'm growing out of them
by Andoverjon on Comments
I used to like RPGs and RPGs only. but now a couple of the last games i've gotten, i have either hated or haven't been able to go past like 10 hours. Here are the games i've been playing: Wild Arms: alter Code F (i loved the original on PS1, but this one, i can't stand), Suikdoen Tactics (I loved 1 and 3, but hated IV and this one is LAME, but i DID beat it), Radiata Stories, i just hate action RPGs and sold this after a maybe 10 hours of Gameplay, and Dragon Quest VIII which i LOVED and played forever.
Do those other games just SUCK, or do i now hate RPGs? I mean, i am getting older (almost 21) and maybe i'm growing out of video games.
