I remember I had a very difficult time beating SMT: Nocturne.

I like them both, but I enjoy more Ancient/fantasy themed than Modern/sci-fi.

Yes, the GOTY edition will include all five of them.

Although Disgaea and Jeanne d'Arc are great games, I would still keep FFT.

I'm voting for the BG/NWN series. Amazing games. I wish modern RPGs would have the same quality (they are very good games, but not quite as good as BG imo - especially BGII).

A part from the games already recommended I would say Xenogears. It's a great RPG.

Well, the cast is not good. I did not particularly liked Yuna and Rikku in FFX and having them as main characters didn't help. The plot is mediocre at best, shallow and simplistic. The soundtrack was terrible, one of the worst in a FF game imo.Overall, the game feels like a huge (boring) FFX sidequest more than a true (unnecessary) sequel.

I think my main problem with it is that I liked FFX very much and my expectations were high. The game did not deliver.
